The camera angles, drones, miked up players/coaches, small rosters, kickoffs and play calling was certainly entertaining

I'm guessing that there'll be a USFL on Fox vs NBA on ABC TV ratings thread next week.

The drone guy apparently was given free reign of the place.

Jac Collinsworth looks and has the same cadence as his dad.

If there's a 2nd season, there will be home games played where the teams are located.
The league stated that is the goal. However, I wonder if from a financial standpoint if it makes sense for the teams to all continue to practice and house in Birmingham and just travel to the respective cities for home games. That way all the teams can continue to use the same practice facilities, work out facilities, meeting rooms, etc. The pregame documentary made it look pretty organized for all the teams the way they are doing it this year.

eta-Ok, crowd not as big as I thought but not terrible. They're making noise.
A bunch of rain came in right before kickoff.

Well it looks like the USFL game thread did better than the NBA playoff thread on Tigerdroppings More Sports board if that counts.

I was entertained. Still waiting to commit my allegiance to a team though. The Gamblers are the front runners right now.

Hell of a game to kick off the USFL season.

Watched the second half and found myself rooting hard for Coach Skip Holtz and QB J'Mar Smith from good old LA Tech.

There was a good crowd. Parking sucks and beers are nine bucks but that was good football.

No it won't. All games will be played in Birmingham.
The teams have to live in Birmingham too?
