That is brutal. Think she definitely could have competed for the gold in the 200. Can’t believe she didn’t even make the team.
Posted on 6/29/24 at 8:40 pm to Dawgsontop34
Who? Sha’carri? She’s already made the team after winning the 100m.
Posted on 6/29/24 at 8:42 pm to BluegrassBelle
I know that. Sorry. I meant didn’t even make it in the 200. I thought it was gonna be her and Gabby Thomas going 1-2.
Didn’t expect Brittany Brown to do what she did.

My god what a race. Noah needs to work on the blocks man. He gets that down and he’s unbeatable

4th again for Coleman. Tough.

Kennys wife is very attractive.
I laughed out loud when Grant Holloway said No Diddy in his interview yesterday.
What is the Olympic standard? Some of these events are weird where almost no one has the standard in the entire world so our top 3 finishers without the standard make it in anyways.
Is that the expectation for women’s 10K?

According to Citius, Valby and Schweizer should have improved their ranking enough to sneak in.

I think because they added in the rankings component they pushed the guaranteed standard up some. I could be wrong though. This is one piece of the sport I usually just find out about when the Olympics rolls around. Doesn’t affect the high school/naia level enough for me to keep track.

Other than Mu falling in the 800, is the biggest name off the list for the US the woman’s hammer thrower and the discus thrower who both faulted each time? It seems like no other big names missed, unless we are counting Sha’Carri in the 200 (and that is hardly a choke, just an unbelievably hard team to make).
I haven’t kept track as closely as usual though.

Corrigan met the qualifying standard today so he's going.

Yea I need to go back and edit these out. Probably gonna wait till after tomorrow though.
Posted on 6/29/24 at 9:24 pm to Keys Open Doors
We have a pole vaulter than didn’t qualify that was expected to make the team as well I believe
