Yeah, I'm just watching a score tracker but it seems like there have been a ton of breaks.

Finally started watching a few games ago. Nadal looks better than he did a few weeks ago, but he still doesn't look good. His forehand is falling short and just hanging up in the air; Golubev is hammering it. Nadal is basically winning solely due to a few big points right now.

I still think he's damn lucky he didn't catch Tomic or JMDP early in this one. This is the shakiest he's looked going into a slam in a long time, maybe ever.

Yeah he looked very sloppy in the second. Already got broken three times in the match.

He's got a pretty nice draw though and could make a push if he keeps improving each match. This isn't 2007, I doubt Nalbandian or Ljubicic are any threat to him

Golubev up a break in the third set now. He actually had a triple set point situation in the second. If he had converted one of those this would be really, really interesting

I still can't believe Roddick's ranked 21st. He may hang them up soon if he doesn't have a decent tournament.

He definitely has less pressure coming into the open this year, maybe being under the radar early one helps him.

It'll be a sad day when he retires.

Is Golubev really about to blow a double break advantage?

WOW I'm guessing this makes Serena happy, she's probably tired of waiting.

I'm loving the Rafa hate. Until he loses people need to shut up.

It's more criticism than hate, and it is deserved. He's not playing well. He was broken more times yesterday than he was the entire tournament last year. Some of us actually like to analyze the matches rather than just drool over the female players

Good god Rafa played like shite yesterday. He's gonna have to play his way into championship form. He needs a break. I would just shut it down after the US Open if I was him. Just go play some golf and watch some soccer.

True. With these early rounds though, a player like nadal/fed/novak can get by playing less than optimal as long as they tune it up for the later rounds.

ETA. he needs to work on his confidence as well IMO
