+/- 3 goals José contributes to today. I'll take the over.

Holy shite Paco gets the nod. I want to see Pearce get time at LB, and I want to see Edu slot in. EJ needs to replace Findley at some point as well.

I will...i'll excessively update the thread with my stellar PBP

I'm glad to see Spector in the first 11, but I just don't like Bornstein on the left. I actually think he's better as a CB.

How many subs do we get this game?

Oh, he's going to wreck shite up. At least 2 goals and 3 assists.

I think we get 6 subs for friendlies. So pretty much everyone but Guzan should get a shot.

I am in shock that Bob went with El Gringo. Words are struggling to form on my lips.

Other than Bornstein, I like the line-up, given who is available (with no Deuce, Onyewu, Davies, or Jones). I would have liked to see Cherundolo and Spector as the backs instead, but it looks like a legit line-up. I think everyone other than Jones is expected back for sure, which is odd because his injury definitely has taken the longest to heal.

Good.

I'd like to see Pearce to the left, Dolo get time on the right, Edu time in the center, EJ up top, Goodson in the CB for DeMerit, and I honestly am so pumped about the Torres start that I have no clue who I left out.

Goodson

I'm not sold on him for the WC. I would prefer to take Edu, and have him back up at CB and DM. That might open up an extra spot for another striker.

Do you think Davies gets to go with the team to the WC even if his injury doesn't allow him to be selected?

The Dutch XI in their standard 4-3-3:

Stekelenburg; vd Wiel, Heitinga, Mathijsen, van Bronckhorst; van Bommel, de Jong, Sneijder; Robben, Kuyt, Elia

ETA: Keep an eye out for Eljero Elia. He has been tremendously impressive at Hamburg this season and only just turned 23.

Will Babel ever crack this 11?

I really think this team, with a healthy RVP, could win it all in SA

I really, really like Goodson. I think he's a super athlete, probably quicker than any of the CBs...but Edu will do fine in CB, and it will free us up to take another striker I guess.

I don't think Davies can go. Well, not paid for. I'm sure he can pay for it himself if he wants, but shite, that's some good money.

If Eddie Johnson could play like a more skilled version of Eddie Johnson, he might just be the best answer for 2010 if Davies can't make it back in time.
