I thought he was too sick to coach and wanted to be with his family.

Evidently B.S. someone in an earlier post suggested LSU and BAMA made him ill, maybe so

Frankly I could give a shite where he goes just so he does not come here.

Why would Urban give up the job at UF to take tOSU? If he goes anywhere it'll be a smaller job like Arizona where the pressure is off.

I see where you're coming from, but is there really any pressure at tOSU?

You're gonna have the best talent in your division. Anyone who even remotely comes close is PSU/Wisky. PSU is gone now and I don't think Wisconsin will stay at their level for any long period of time just due to their recruiting base.

Even in the other B1G division, they only have Michigan to compete with and MAYBE MSU. All in all, in any given year OSU will probably lose no more than 2 Big 10 games. Pretty low stress, plus Braxton Miller will do pretty awesome in his offense.

He left UF because he saw how hard it was getting to compete with FSU rising, Bama, LSU, and the fact that he had to play them EVERY YEAR in addition to the regular SEC schedule. He didn't think he could consistently win.

There more pressure at OSU then you think. Wait till he drops his first two to Michigan. He can win every other game he coaches, and osu fans will still be calling for his job.

As a UM fan I hope osu hires Urbs. His system has been found out and relies on a Tebow type player, and his overall passion is questionable. Plus its gonna take him at least 2 recruiting classes to get his guys in.

Not a Urban fan but respected him when he said he was stepping down because of the health and family issues but that looks like it was BS

he aint' dropping two in a row to Michigan. UM doesn't even have a QB. Just two RBS who happen to throw every now and then.

FALSE. His system worked pretty well at BGSU without Tebow and worked damn good at Utah without Tebow.

Plus, in 06-----he won the NC without Tebow as the starter. In 07----he lost 4 games with Tebow as teh starter.

WHAT? Braxton is already perfect for his system. OSU has two pretty good RBs coming in and he didn't need 2 years at UF to get his guys in. And the Big 10 competition is WAAAAAYYYY easier than anything UF had to go through.

there are strong rumors that he did get busted having an affair and this did lead to family issues

now were they mended in a year? who knows

Hell could be that. But, I can tell you he was the most disinterested coach I've seen in a long time last year. Something was definitely up, and I doubt it was his health.

I didn't say he was going to, just that there is a ton of pressure on OSU coaches who cant beat UM. But the possibility exists that it could happen.

Ya, in at the lower levels it can work without a Tebow/Cam, but not int he SEC and B10. Look how last season worked out for the Gators.

But he still had Tebow to come in a do the things that need to be done for that offense to be successful. Without Tebow, UF doesn't win that championship.

Bunk.

No coach worth his weight and who has achieved as much as Meyer wherever he goes thinks or is wired like this; this is fan nonsense.

Really? Who else do they drop one to that year? They sure as hell would've still beaten LSU and FSU without Tebow. They also would've beaten OSU easily.
