CL still on murderer's row with Destrehan, ESJ, and Hahnville.... damn

No longer “murderers” as long as the current coaching staff remains.

Is that expected to go away soon?

Well Hahnville is now one of the one's getting murdered these days. The state of that program these days is awful..hopefully missing the playoffs leads to changes.

Sucks for chalmette IMO. They will get a boost in power rankings for the tougher schedule, but will probably take on multiple more losses. Only to end up playing in a playoff bracket with none of those teams. Lhsaa is terrible

their decision, no district can kick anyone out(it's not a real league and you know that).

The Catholic league is a district, not a separate league. Like the SEC is a league in the broader NCAA. We have a dumb split between public and private schools for the playoffs though.
might wanna look at select division about half are publics.

That seems dumb. But it's the LHSAA so I'm not surprised. If I ran it I would set up a system where a school can appeal to play up in a certain sport but stay in classification for everything else.
scheduling and districting nightmare very few associations(if any even still do) allow that.

Karr and Easton with the JP League should just be called the Urban League. Back in the 70's when EJ, West Jeff and Bonnabel were powers, they had EJ in 9 AAAA with Cohen, Abramson, Carver OP Walker and Bonnabel in 10AAAA with West Jeff, LB Landry Fortier, Easton and BTW. Weird Districting. Didn't change until 1977 season.

Why is it dumb to separate schools that have a boundary from where they can pull student athletes and schools that don’t? Seems to make sense to me

I also could be misunderstanding what you’re saying. Those marsh fires in St. Bernard have made breathing difficult for me down here in plaquemines

9AAAA was OPW, Cohen, Carver, Abe, EJ

Fortier flip flopped a bit. 1970/71 EJ and WJ were in same district. As quad a was new 72/74 season saw more teams move up to quad A shaking up districts

Ben Franklin also joins the Catholic League in this proposal, although their football team still would not compete for district honors.

Looks like Higgins and Riverdale are in 5A now, and Salmen in 5A, so that kind of limits where Chalmette can go.

I still would have preferred to go to the north shore district. But Chalmette in the Catholic League will be an interesting challenge. We will travel well wherever, and it should bring some nice crowds out to our home games, which will help offset the costs of free admission for students. Would still give us 6 district games (and HC would be a district game) so still gives us 4 non-district games to get some good wins in.

Right and non-selects always respect that boundry. No funny business involved.

Public Schools don't worry about boundaries anymore. It's not punished anymore. Note that East Jefferson's State Championship team in 2015 had 19 seniors that lived in Bonnabel's district. Dutchtown's run in the the Bennie era had as many kids from EBR and Iberville Parish as Ascension. Can't even get started what happens in Monroe.
