Canada recently canceled their PGA Canadian Open for the second time. The NHL just now allowing a few fans at their playoff games.

This country has an entirely different approach. I got a feeling there are going to be a lot more CP3s and Jon Rahm's to keep reminding us before this stuff is over.

The NFL isn't going anywhere no matter what draconian rules they put in place.

The league can do it, They’re private employers so when in Rome do as the Romans do.

I don’t agree with their stance but I’m sure it’s in contracts somewhere

Some of you fricks care way more about this than the actual players and team personnel.

There are plenty of players who don't want to get the vaccine for various reasons. Now, the NFL is basically telling those people that they'll not only have restrictions placed on their jobs but also in their personal lives if they don't (and social media and marketing restrictions, really?). I'm vaccinated FWIW but think this NFL mandate is ridiculous. I don't think people should be forced to be vaccinated or face punitive measures if they aren't.

The “Playing in the NFL is a privilege. They are your employer and you must do what they say” crowd is so conflicted rn

Meh, you can say a business has a right to implement their own policies without government intervention and also think said policy is a stupid business practice. Playing in the NFL is a privilege, but it's also their job and a job they can't do anywhere else and also a job that is unionized. I think the NFLPA is going to have field day with this.

What about entire teams being affected by meetings, practice, and weight room restrictions if the everyone on the team isn't vaccinated? I think it's a little more than "leaving millions on the table to go to strip club"

If the NFLPA agreed to it then it will be a tough fight for the players who disagree.

It will be interesting to see if a player wants to challenge the rules in court...particularly in light of the fact virtually all state (some very reluctantly) are "open" again.

No, the NFL and the NFL players union agreed on these rules for training camps and preseason.

The NFL is a private enterprise. They have every right to negotiate with the union on this. The NFL union is the weakest of all pro sports in the US so the NFL will get its way.

I mean there's too much money at stake with TV, gambling, and fantasy football to have games on Tuesdays.
