If they have some footage that has never been seen before, then inject it into my veins. I love a good train wreck and that was the ultimate.

Reggie’s interview on the Dan Patrick Show where they discuss it is great, too.

Pacers win the title that year if that didn't happen.

Pretty excited for this. Long overdue for something in the sports doc craze of the last 10 years.

Back when the NBA was full of dogs

I lived in Houston when the Rockets won the two back to back, the NBA was great back then.

Now it's all flopping pussies

The funniest Inside The NBA is Shaq and Chuck laughing about one team calling the police on the other after a fight.

If Artest doesn't do that, what becomes of his career? Remember he submitted a breakthrough season the prior year when I believe the Pacers achieved the top record in the league and appeared to trend upward as a player and the Pacers to title status with Carlisle as coach then POOF. People forget that for all Artest and Jackson did in the stands, if Jermaine O'Neal doesn't slip on the Palace's floor while he's running to punch that guy and graze the dude's face, the dude probably could've committed murder and escalated this entire episode to a really, REALLY dark level. O'Neal only got suspended 15 games. LOL.

As great as Dream was at that time, Houston's best team pre-Harden was probably the mid-80s team that extended the Celtics to 6 games in the Finals and should've ruled the West the rest of the decade BUT Lucas, Lloyd, and Wiggins all got in big trouble with drugs and Sampson never really recovered from that massive fall in the Garden pre-playoffs which led to the Sleepy Floyd-Joe Barry Carroll trade ultimately. Lucas himself even admitted that edition of the Rockets was their best team as a franchise.

Kind of feels like it's going to be taking the side of the players, like they were justified in acting like maniacs.

And don't get me wrong, the fans were pieces of shite too.

It's one of those things where there was no "right side".

I agree the fan shouldn't have thrown the cup on Artest and Artest and Jackson shouldn't have pursued the fan(s) in the stands to beat them up in retribution, two things can be true, sometimes objectivity is more interesting than trying to create a narrative and just leave it at that

If someone I don’t know throws a cup with ice at me, my response isn’t going to be to fight them. I have a wife and a job, and shite like that ain’t worth it.

It’s amazing that millionaire athletes with way more to lose don’t think rationally.

Having lived in Sarajevo for 16 months, what always gave me chills about that incident, is that had they been playing an exhibiton game in a Balkan country and went into the stands to attack fans, they could have tragically and horrifically flew back to the States with sealed and tagged body bags.

I agree, especially if I attempt to settle myself down after a near scuffle on the court with Ben Wallace thereby indicating I don't want to fight and endanger my livelihood. Not at all defending Artest and the players but the fan who threw the cup at him was in the wrong as well. Two wrongs don't make a right in this instance and Artest cost himself what could've been a superstar career in the NBA, it is what it is.

That dude who threw the cup may have had a wife and kid, it's amazing random arse people on this planet don't think more rationally.

He probably goes on to play for the Lakers and wins a world championship.

Also Artest to Stephen Jackson in the locker room after.

“Do you think we gonna get in trouble for this?”

I agree with this overall. Over time...both were in the wrong but I also kinda gained perspective on the players side but still totally unacceptable on their end. That said...a very ugly night all around. I want to check out this show.
