Posted this in the islanders thread, but I'll put it here for those not reading that.

This is the seating at one end of the Barclay Center (Brooklyn Islanders arena):

They still have Choke Andre Fleury in the net.

Gonna have to find something else there, that ended last year when he was solid in the postseason.

The loge seating that newer basketball arenas have now block the view of the goal completely in a full section behind the goal.

Go look in that Islanders thread, I posted a few more pictures and there's other areas obstructed too. It's pretty bad, but it is an NBA arena that was never supposed to be home to an NHL team.

looks like the setup for an arena football game. Can't believe people agreed to move into that dump rather than going to Quebec.

no shite

we aren't passing very well, mainly because we're passing too much. If your team is built around speed, the start skating damnit!

For basketball I'm sure it's great. For hockey? There's so much lost revenue by having to take out 5 or 6 first deck sections, plus they're going to have to knock off a lot of prices on seats with obstructed views. They're basically going to be playing with 80% of an arena with a full view of the ice which Bettman should make inexcusable considering how there are cities BEGGING for a team.

Roussel scores. 2-1 pens. Dallas looks to have settled down and are skating a lot better

How did that series end up again? Does it make it worse that Fleury outplayed Bob by a country mile? Oops.

Dupuis down for the pens. Being taken off the ice on a stretcher. Puck hit him in the back of the head/ upper spine area from point blank.

That's just the thing though, it's a basketball arena.

Barclays was not built to host an NHL team, that was not the plan in any way. It's not like other NBA arenas that were built to host an NHL team as well so the sight lines are completely different.

Islanders couldn't get a new Arena so they had to do this and the obstructed seats are just part of it now.

They will still sell the obstructed seats, at a very cheap price of course.

You're joking right? Bob was fricking awful. Lowest save percentage of any goalie in the 2013-14 playoffs.

He wasn't great, but Fluery was just as bad. Single handedly gave the Jackets a win when he left the net. To make a claim that one was significantly better than the other is hilarious.
