Fleury had a .915 save %, 3rd among goalies in the playoffs, and his team advanced.

Bob had statistically the worst postseason of any starting netminder in the playoffs.

Just stop.

Okay then, which is better for the sport? A mediocre NHL team moving to a basketball arena just to keep a second team that very few people care about in NYC, or moving it to a hockey specific facility where there won't be any obstructed views or removed sections that make it look like the league is on the level of the arena football league? That's simply embarrassing looking.

Where are you pulling your fricking information from?

LINK

Bob was 8th at .908 (of 28 fricking goalies in the playoffs), Fluery was 4th at .915

The Islanders aren't like Florida or Arizona, they weren't ever going to relocate, so it doesn't really matter. They also have a top player in the league and should be quite competitive and good for years ahead.

Their average attendance in that dump with no Taveras and a bad team last year was 14,700, and they're averaging just shy of 16K currently this year. Max capacity for hockey is 15,800 at Barclays, so it's about right size wise for what they draw not including the new fans they'll draw or tourists, etc.

I was talking starting netminders, but yeah I forgot about how bad Miller was for STL.

Andersen and Bryzgalov were replaced by Gibson and Harding.

Dat Fleury though.

How so?

You just posted a list of 1 goalie that was worse than Bob. I would say I was accurate.

You don't have to get mad bro, if yall make the playoffs Bob can't possibly do any worse, can he?

Idk bro, I click the link and see 1 starting goalie that was worse. Maybe you should watch the playoffs more and realize who did and did not start for those teams.

They logged 350+ minutes of ice time in the playoffs, but don't qualify because they aren't "starting goalies".

You're such a joke.

ETA: Keep changing your argument though. That certainly helps your credibility around here.

So you want to include benched goalies to try and make Bob seem not worthless?

What an idiot you are.

"Our goalie was better than those benched goalies HAHHAHA!!!!"

And the new arena being built in Quebec will hole 18,500 for hockey with no obstructed views, no embarrassing sections removed, filled to capacity even with a mediocre team, etc.

New fans and tourists are going to MSG. We all know this. The Rangers run that towns hockey base. I thought it was a huge mistake for the Islanders to not take a look at moving to Quebec. This rendering of the almost completed arena looks better to me than what they're going to be playing in at Barclays:

Not even on that list is anybody from the Lightning or Dallas, he was better than whatever "starter" you want to say they had.

Again, you pull information out of your arse and when you get called on it the argument always changes. Man that must be fricking convenient.

Naw, Barclays gets tons of tourists and will be cheaper. Your underestimate the loyal diehard Islander fans.

I would hope so, Quebec isn't ever getting an NBA team. If they did, that arena would have sightlines as bad as Barclays.

See, you are showing your lack of knowledge, the Lightning's starter (Ben Bishop) was hurt before the postseason began, so yes, it was their backup and 3rd stringer that made starts in the postseason. So again, congrats on being better than Tampa's backups?

You said this statement.

Is this correct?

BTW, that 0.007 makes such a HUGE difference between the two, Fluery clearly a country mile ahead of him. Again, you're a joke.

No, I already said I forgot how bad Miller was earlier and corrected it. 2nd worst starter. Much better.

I don't think they're really worried about it - this was built to be hockey specific in a hockey-mad province. Instead they're cramming hockey into an arena that wasn't built for it. I'm sure the Panthers or Coyotes will be lured in by this arena, JUST BRING BACK THE NORDIQUES!
