The Pro Football Hall of Fame has Joe Namath in it. Does the Baseball Hall of Fame have anyone that bad in it?

(Relax Namath fanboys. I concede the first 4,000 passing season and Super Bowl III MVP are nice accolades...but he’s not Hall of Fame material.)

I'd prefer no class than players who don't deserve to be there. Although I thought some players did deserve to be in it this year. #FreeBonds

That's a fun hypothesis. It's not grounded in reality but reality doesn't matter on Social media.

Robin Yount won the MVP @2 different positions.

He also had 3100 hits.

Could not agree more.

Even that year he let the league in interceptions and as was the case in almost every season in his career threw more picks than TD's.

He's in the HOF cause he played in New York and made the guarantee. The Jets defense won SB3, causing 5 turnovers and wreaking havoc.

Plenty of solidly average players in the MLB HoF from the early 20th century

Derek Jeter gets inducted this summer. If things were normal, it would be a record attendance in Cooperstown.

Neither are dying, but your metric to determine which is dying is strange to me. TV ratings and revenue are better indicators to me. NFL ratings are down 7% when people have little other to watch. Many recognize life has been just fine spending 6 hours on a Sunday outside or doing other things besides watching football all day.
