Didn't this also happen between T Tech and A&M?

Yes. But it wasn't when Tech won at Kyle. It happened in Lubbock.

lets see iowa fans try that in the Big 12 or SEC
that would be hilarious if Iowa fans carried off the goal posts after they beat Florida for the SEC championship in the georgia dome

jesus i cant think of a more embarrassing thing for a fanbase

The whole fan base needs their fan card revoked for that. I remeber watching them play ND State and half the place was full with ND State fans, I think Minn lost that game to.

The new staduim on NCAA looks nothing close to how it should

It'll be cold, but good riddance to the Metrodome. Just a sterile place to watch games. The new Twin's stadium will be a great addition to the city as well.

yeah I agree, it's good for their program to have their own stadium...soooo much better than playing in the Metrodome

although I do find it a bit strange that the stadium name is just like an NFL stadium with a sponsor (TCF Bank) leading the name of the stadium....but hey I guess whatever it takes

They're not the only one, but if that's what it takes to get a new stadium, so be it.

Gonna fricking COLD in November in there, though!

Because the fans are more hardcore?

I'm pretty sure somebody could steal Vandy's goalposts without much hassle.

This is true. But why would anyone rush Vandy's field after beating them?

No shite...same with Iowa St.

You guys are acting like it was a prominent fanbase that just laid down in their home stadium. It was Minnesota and in the fricking Metrodome. They probably would have paid them to tear the place to the ground.

It'll be one of the nicest stadiums in college football. Been by it a few times. On-campus near Williams Arena (basketball) and Mariucci Arena (Hockey). It's within walking distance of bars and places to eat.

They have a new stadium, the Twins are moving in to a new stadium, are the Vikings getting a new one too? Or will they stay in the Metrodome just to give us a reason not to tear it down?

I was going to say I've seen this same style stadium built in a lot of places. Then I looked up the architect and it was Populous...formerly HOK sports....who do most of the sports stadiums in the world it seems. It looks generic to me.
