But if you send 6 out on purpose, I still don't think you'd run an Iso, that just puts more men on the court. It just worked out

I'd suggest watching the tape. 1 of the 6 (Darshawn McClellan, 21) just stands there, completely off from the play...unguarded for the duration. It's very accessible. Deadspin posted it. The kid literally does shite the entire time. It was basically a 5 on 5 situation.

Hell, give the refs a break.
Why? They are the only ones in the building paid to notice that and make the call.

how could UL run a play with 6 guys on the court
you had to think at least 2-3 of them were like "oh frick"

I watched it. And there were 6 guys out there. You can't say "one stood there so it was basically 5 on 5." It wasn't 5 on 5, plain and simple.

Yay more reasons to "hate" ULL. This is going to be a blast.

I wasn't being literal, but do you not find it funny that the announcers, who are WKU announcers and obviously not going to hide that if they didn't notice, watched the game live then the replay several times and were still oblivious. They broke down the game winning play and didn't notice. I just find that hilarious.

It was a fricking iso. And Payton NEVER thought about passing that ball. If Payton had drive and kicked to one of the 6...I understand. But one guy kept the ball the entire time. I you can't crash on a driver inside 5 seconds...you probably deserve to less, whether there were 6 players of not.
WTF is this shite? Why are you piling on WKU? Make you feel better about how your team got away with a blatant violation in their win?
Why don't you just own it and say "oh, well"? To defend it or to change the subject makes your team look worse.

I don't hate ULL, but you can't sit here and just say that the extra guy on the floor didn't matter.

He must have noticed and assumed if he slinked off, the refs would notice.
This reminds me a lot of the Steelers vs. Patriots game where the clock was rewound 5 minutes, nobody noticed until afterwards.

wku also got t'd up before the lsu game this year for not turning in the lineup card to the score table before tip-off. COME ON MAN

I'm glad this didn't happen on the Cajuns home court.

I simply interpreted what I watched. And that was that no one guarded #21 for the play's duration and Payton still had a wide fricking open lane.

Naw, Western is terrible this year, and I'm pretty confident the Cajuns would've won the game with 5 regardless.

Oh well.

But that is not what the cajuns put on the floor. They should have been penalized for what they did. I have no idea how marlin handled this with his team but I can make an educated guess based on his comments to the media:
1) its ok to cheat if you don't get caught
2) always blame somebody else

Clearly. The Cajuns were dominating.

You're really good at making generalizations.
