ULL should hire the hot young OC from a P5 school as HC

I’m not sure we’d have the money to do that, especially now that we have to figure out how to cover some sort of halfass NIL to not be bottom of the barrel in the Sun Belt in that category.

Coaches are partially responsible for the drops. College and Pro coaches sold out to forty times and height at WR a long time ago, sacrificing ball skills, route running, and overall fundamental solid WR play.

College scouts sold out on 7/7 not real football

Right now, until I see different, doubt our offense can average over 20 points a game. That defense better plan on allowing only 14 every single game.
McNeese is not a good gauge of the offense's progress, despite the final score. Beale struggled with accuracy and threw high fastballs most of the first half (adrenaline?). Got a little better in the second half.

I have to imagine his playbook is pretty limited, which doesn't bode well for a road game against a ranked SEC team. Felt like Simpson was back-burnered after his early drops. Beale almost got Rob Williams and Jensen killed in the first half. They're going to have to run the ball to keep it from being a laugher.

Defense was pretty good again save for the opening drive, but again, competition level is the question.

Special teams were not impressive at all. Still don't have a KO specialist who can reach the end zone. New PK had a bad miss. Punter just meh. ZERO return game.

Gonna be a long two weeks, I thinks.

What about the Carter kid? Not sure where he is on the QB depth chart but saw him in high school and looked decent albeit against small schools.

Damn.l that sucks. I hope he comes back and kills it next year. I'd hate for him to be forever posterized as the recruit Kelly rubbed his arse all over.

Mizzou is going to do what Marshall did to us in the SBC Champ game once Beale had to come into the game and they realized Terrance Carter was going to half-arse it since he had already been bought by Texas Tech. They’re going load the box with 8 and 9 defenders to stuff Davis and Perry, and make Beale beat them. He won’t be able to, and it’s going to be ugly.

Spread is 27.5. I’m not a better person, but if I were, I’d be very tempted to bet Mizzou and give the points.

I’ve also prepared myself to see Bill Davis get bought by another program before 2026.

I think Perry and Blanco will end up being better than Davis.

Perry seemed to be THAT GUY but Davis has been far better and clearly is the no. 1 back now. For whatever reason, Perry's running style is not suited to our run blocking scheme, where as Davis seems to thrive in it.

He's not on it, and your post is the first time I've heard his name all year. Sam Altmann was the listed QB3 for McNeese.

P.S. UL's "Lunch" packages did SQUAT against McNeese's defense. Completely unimaginative play calling with subpar blocking.

Speaking of play calling, going bunch/heavy formation past midfield and then running into the box of 11 defenders is basically conceding the drive. You might has well punt. Maybe there's a secret playbook waiting for conference play.

Left LSU because he was an entitled bitch that thought he was above running the PS….ends up 3rd string at Ole Miss, then heads back home for immediate PT, and now sets himself back another year.

who was that other qb that was good at ,I think, Oklahoma state and transferred to Ole miss and never played. that dude fricked up his entire career . I doubt he even had a rookie minicamp invite

Perry is averaging 5.6ypc which is good enough.
