Are you positive that's the percentage? Because if that's the case then the general fund at ULL is 850MM when the ULS system wide total according to the BOR for FY22-23 was only 962MM... that doesn't compute or has some very Louisiana accounting going on.

I’m not saying that the entire deficit is covered by the remaining 1% of the GF transfer. There are other self generated auxiliary fees that go into that amount as well.

Also one poster earlier mentioned the $500k in student fees. It is my understanding that those fees are directed towards Bourgois Hall which is on the athletic complex. I’m not sure how the accounting aspect works for that, but there are $0 student fees for athletics without a vote by the student body. Which have never been presented.

Although UNO and ULM have unsuccessfully put a student athletic fee to vote. Failing each and every time it was presented.

Louisiana should only have the following four year public universities:
LSU
LA Tech
UL
UNO
Grambling
Southern

Everything else should be transitioned to 2 year associates only schools or satellite campuses for these above.

For example:
ULM & NSU go to LTU
McNeese and Nichols go to UL
SLU goes to UNO

LSU already has Eunice, Shreveport, Alexandria and Nola campuses.

All the money from satellite campuses goes to the flagship of each system. This shite is ridiculous it’s not that complicated. Look at Alabama as a comparison. You’ve got UA system, Auburn system, USA and Troy. Everything else falls under those umbrellas. Excluding HBCUs
