ULL - New football helmets

Don't like 'em. They need to go back to the ones that had the Acadiana flag on them. Or make a logo out of the pepper. Also, the helmets should be fire truck red.

What is ULL's fascination with black? Its not a school color. They're putting that shite everywhere.

They didn't change the part that needed to be changed.
I hate to give them good advice...but it is obvious to me that they should have their fleur des lis on the football helmet.
That logo is so shitty, it isn't even funny.
ETA: After much soul.searching, I have to concede that the black helmet does look better than the "vermillion" ....so I guess it is somewhat of an upgrade.

I guess the same reason Duke has gone to black on their uni's. Same reason LSU has gone black on their stuff. Black looks good. Black is more part of ULL's school coloring than it is for Duke and LSU.
FWIW i love the helmets, they need a better helmet/school logo than the ragin cajuns or the pepper.

I actually forgot that black isn't an official school color of Duke. Seems like they've been using it for so long.

I like it, I'll admit it. New coach wants to change shite up, and even though the "black fad" is a little played out, college athletes go nuts for any sorta uniform change, they love that shite.
