Dana pretty much said ankalaev has to do something spectacular for a title shot

He's been great, but I just don't know if I can ever call him the goat with everything that's surrounded him. Maybe I'll have to go back and rewatch some of his fights. It's been so long since I've watched him and the most I can remember about him now days is all the bad stuff that's happened outside the octagon.

I don’t think there will be a rush to put ankalaev against poatan.

Ankalaev looked more determined and more confident.

But if he can't KO Rakic, can he KO Poatan?

I think Poatan watched this and saw what he needed to see / knows what he can do against Ankalaev.

Ankalaev looked good, I don't think he stands in front of Alex like that and attempts more clinching/take downs utilizing his greco.

It's just not a sexy fight at all. And Alex easily takes him. The only exciting, big-money options at this point are at middle and heavyweight.

Gotta be terrifying to hear your jaw being ripped apart.

Whittaker got away then somehow decided to stay engaged instead of resetting on the feet.
And he was right back down.

He may skip Strickland and get the next title shot. He didn't take any damage either.

no way.

Ankalaev is the only true shot at beating Poatan in this division. Ank is a beast. He’s just not that exciting of a fighter.

Yeah man I think you give it to chimaev. Strickland last fight was terrible. Dude walked around the cage like an egret.

Dana walked back his comment about Strickland being guaranteed the next shot earlier this week. Said it depends on how this fight goes....Well, that was about as that could have gone.

Strickland is boring. He also didn't even lose his title, it was stolen by terrible judges. Strickland deserves a title fight just because of that, imo. But, Dana will probably give it to Kumshot.

Boring or not against Costa, I think he beat DDP. But I don't want to argue about it. They both deserve a title shot.
