Good for him, he deserves it.

And for the Jones fight, even with all the money he'll have I wouldn't expect him to mail it in because the history. Dude wants that W in his resume badly.

He wasn’t in real trouble but that’s not the point. He touched him cleanly. I’m not sure where you’re getting that Conor can’t sleep khabib. I have great respect for khabib but this is where people underestimate Conor because of his antics. Conor is also special. He can absolutely sleep khabib inside 2 rounds. Both of them have only one path to victory IMO. I don’t think there’s as much mystery to this as everyone is thinking tho. I see khabib throwing that combo and then shooting in. Over and over. If he engages Conor on his feet he will end up on his back

Yup, true competitor who has always been honest about everything he feels. He even said about Jones that regardless of the steroids and all that he wants to beat Jones because he’s the only fighter who’s ever beat him, and he’s never knocked JJ the fighter. He knows he has to beat him to be the goat

Today should be a good day to discuss Jon Jones the Rat. Did he rat on Cowboy or someone else to get his ban reduced?

Maybe. Or it’s all made up to get him eligible. Wouldn’t put it past them. USADA is totally compromised now. It’s all bullshite. bullshite testing and bullshite fake belts.

No sir. Ben askren vs khabib would be the equivalent of two bears mauling each other.

Would rather watch paint dry.

1) I’m responding to another poster and using their words
2) it’s a commonly used fight term
3) why?

Didn’t say it would break ppv numbers. Those are the two guys that scare other fighters tho

So you’re admitting he didn’t wobble him and yet That’s not the point? I thought that was the whole point. The guy has been slightly wobbled one time in his entire ufc career.

Also, Connor doesn’t have that one shot ko power on anyone except Aldo who is a 45er. It takes him serveral shots to finish Alvarez and he couldn’t finish Nate despite dropping him. People forget Khabib is a huge 55er.

Connor has great power at 45, good power for 55, but it’s nothing off the charts for the division.

Let's be fair, not many fighters in the lower weight classes have 1 punch ko power. It's almost always a tko unless someone lands an unreal kick to the head or something.

Conor has tko'd everyone he has fought in the UFC except Nate who has a chin of steel and Max Holloway, another guy that has a chin of steel.... Plus in the Holloway fight he had a torn acl.

Alvarez
Mendes
Poirier
Aldo

That's a who's who of bad motherfrickers. Just look at how much damage Alvarez took against poirier and gaethje.... And Conor made him look silly and finished him.

I wonder if something happened with the main event aftermarket ticket prices just dropped from 600+ to 400ish

The Alvarez fight is an outlier in my opinion because he was so out of his element with the size of that moment and even admitted as much.

As for that list none of those guys were tko’d at 55 except Alvarez and that was after multiple shots.

To me the fact that Nate and Holloway had a granite chin speaks even more to my point. Khabib has that same chin, and that’s why I don’t see him tko’ing him.

The great thing about it is we will see bc I have no doubt Connor will catch khabib at least once. I hope his power is good enough to get the job done, but I have my doubts

yeah im not buying the too big of a moment for alvarez. eddie had like 30+ fights at that point in his career. I think he just got his arse whipped. its not like his chin got weak because of the pressure. he had only lost 1 fight by knockout in his career up to that point, early in his career.

So are you saying you think Connor gets the tko? I’m pretty sure he’s going to connect as bad as khabib’s stand up is.

Then why won't he fight Gus again? "He disrespected Rockhold!"

My point was that if other fighters far inferior can touch khabib then Conor will absolutely land some big shots. Don’t go on about how special khabib is(which he is) and then pretend not to understand how Conor is different. This isn’t a boxing match. His timing, fight iq, quickness, and power are unique.

Before the Aldo fight, how many times had he been knocked out?
I’m not saying it will be some flash walk off knockout. I’m saying Conor can hurt him inside 2 likes he’s never been hurt and we’ve never really seen him hurt so everyone acts like he is indestructible. He isn’t. Just to be clear tho...Conor’s power at 155 is better than good. Yes khabib is a heavy 55er but it’s not like Conor is some little 45er that’s moving up to 155. He was killing himself to make 145. I’m def not minimizing khabib. It’s fun to talk about but I think most people that are rooting for Conor (that know better) are cautiously optimistic. That gas tank worries me. It could get ugly for Conor if it goes deep.
