That motherfricker ain't getting no rematch. Dana and his cronies are jubilant they got that title off him. Probably gets ranked 8th or some shite and has to work his way up. They are 4 billion in the hole and are looking for big money fights.

I really dislike that stubby loudmouth frick DC, which makes this fight hurt even more. Stipe did not look right at all and left himself open.

Wouldn't shock me if both Francis and Beast both got money under the table to under perform so that neither could claim a title shot over Brock.

Ufc doesn't give a frick that much. They give title shots to whoever they want.

Brock was getting the shot no matter what.

They had a report that leaked right before the fight that Brock was fighting the winner no matter what.

Makes you wonder what would’ve happened if it had been a 5 round brawl that went to a controversial split decision

Another note on the Ortega thing....Dana has always said that being a champ changes everything. Looking at Pettis's pay from last night proves that. He's a former champ that's not been at the top for some time, and he walked away with over a quarter million dollars last night and came to the fight ready to make over 2.5x what Chiesa was going to make just on show money. Chiesa would have made $34k less than Pettis, if he won. I don't understand why Ortega didn't jump at this chance. He may have missed out on the belt and $300k or so in earnings for this year.

quote:

Michael Chiesa: $48,000 to show ($48,000 to win)*
vs. Anthony Pettis: $135,000 to show ($135,000 to win)

ETA Pettis also got 50k performance bonus so he made a shitload of money

Yeah but not much. Said ngannou's ego got too big. He also doesn't think the black beast stock took a hit, but said his back issues are annoying

I can’t stand Lesnar.

I hated his antics in the ring more than the Lewis/Ngannou disaster. There is no place in MMA to walk into a ring and then shove someone like that. This is not WWE. I wanted DC to knock him out.

Stipe should definitely get a rematch over Lesnar.

Lesnar is the big money fight though so I get it and dont really have a problem with it.

I'll watch it. DC is going to win via stoppage. Round 2 most likely. Lesnar can take a punch and wont stay in range like Stipe did, except when he is going for takedowns which he will do due to the size advantage and both being excellent wrestlers.

He will last a round or 2, but it is going to be a one-sided affair after the early feeling out period.

Anyone truly surprised by the outcome of DC-Stipe

Stipes chin has always be suspect. Great win for Cormier.
I’m ok with the Lesnar fight because both the LHW and HW divisions are so bland right now. At least this gives us something exciting to look forward to.

You know Jones has the red arse right now. This could’ve been all his fame/fortune. Now he’s just a spectator But that’s what being a career cheat gets you.

That’s all staged; I don’t like it bc that belongs in wwe. It is what it is.

They were friendly to each other during the ufc 200 fight week. Both will laugh their way to the bank

Stipe needs a better team to train with full time

Yep. Cormier deserves the big money fight also. He has done everything right. Dude should be able to go out making big money not fighting someone like Curtis blaydes for small change.

Man that was some WWE marketing right there.

No doubt all of that was planned, Brock being in the arena, DC calling him out, Brock coming up, the confrontation.

Basicly the setup to a big pay day and return for Lesnar, sounds like DC may even have hinted at reaching his goal at 40 years old, and not much left to prove other than wanting a huge payday and spotlight for at least one or two more fights.

It's the perfect storm, no way any of that (other than the main event fight) was coincidence.

Jones will probably fight the winner.

I think DC has said they've been friends for 20 years, or did I hear that wrong?
