McGregor just needs to settle into the 155 lb. class. Fight once more to defend title at 145 but cutting to 145 looks brutal on him. Plenty of tough competition at 155 waiting on him.

LMAO. Humble in defeat.

He's a loud mouthed, self-proclaimed nobody who was going to get his arse whipped eventually and continually.

I ain't reading 90 pages. But, is it safe to say that the common TD theory that size isn't a big deal dead yet?

Or, are there still people in here that think Rhonda Rousey can whip an athletic 220 pound man?

Oh. Yeah. I forgot. It's the TD. So, guess not.

SIZE matters

Not that much. And yet, even Conor acknowledged that Nate took his punishment better than expected.

And Nate's a good, but let's face it, not GREAT fighter in his weight class.

That's sort of the point. Go up another weight class or two and Conor would get whipped by the guys sparring with the decent fighters.

I'm sorry for the questions. I just find it crazy this guy got beat by a dude who only had two weeks notice.

Who knows?

But, let's face it. Until he moved up, he had won 15 straight fights including beating the champion easily.

Then, he loses to a guy who was what, like 18-10? A guy who was 5-5 in his prior 10 fights?

This is what I'm always pointing out on this board when morons come in saying Manny would beat an NFL linebacker or Rousey would beat a Defensive End.

Um. No. They'd be killed. That's what would happen.

Nate Diaz is not an "athletic man" he's been training since he was 14

Um. I think you missed the point.

He's BARELY bigger than Conor and yet Conor acknowledged that even HE was surprised by how Nate took punishment.

And, if you saw the two on the street, you wouldn't even consider them to have a size differential.

What does this have to do with the stupid 220 lbs athletic man vs Ronda Rousey debate? Unless a 220 lbs athletic man happens to have bionic arm, he couldn't take his tendon being snapped

Sigh.

This board is just hopeless.

First off. She'd never get him there.

Why?

Well. When she threw females, she often did it by wrapping her arms around them and locking her hands.

She wouldn't even get her hands around the man's chest. For example, Tate's chest measurement is 35". The man would be MINIMUM of 44". Good chance bigger.

Then, when she grabs the female's wrist with one hand as she sets up(very common), her fingers actually touch. If she did it to the man, her fingers wouldn't come CLOSE to touching. Typical female wrist measurement is about 2" smaller than male.

And, of course, he's going to have SUBSTANTIALLY greater physical strength to resist in the first place.

Jeebus. People are so fricking clueless.

I should add that even if she gets her hands on the dude..........just like with women, they'll hit back.

When the woman hits back, it's a person with 150 pound FEMALE body generating force.

That just ain't quite the same as getting an elbow to the ribs from Ray Lewis.

I don't think Conor McGregor really is a natural 145 lb fighter anymore. His body matured and out grew the class. It would be like Pettis or Dos Anjos or most any other 155 class fighter cutting another 10 pounds and fighting at 145. They could probably do it if they had to but it would be a very difficult cut and would take it's toll on the body.

But he is going to have a tough time at 155. He is not going to just run over these guys. He could end up champ at 155 but I don't think his odds are any better than a number of other 155 lbers. Conor lost to a 2nd tier 155 lb'er last night (or maybe Diaz is borderline top tier depending how you look at it)
