Agreed.....and honestly, Frankie might've already surpassed BJ's resume @ LW. (Eta: if he wins on Saturday)
Tino.....the LW division is so stacked right now it's ridiculous....I couldn't even list the top10, cause its a crapshoot. I'd think Jim Miller would/should be next in line, but he was just handidly defeated by Bendo (as was Guida), and has to fight Diaz coming up. So maybe the winner of Pettis/Lauzon? Guys like Maynard, Diaz, Cerrone, Barbosa, Rory, etc are all still a fight or two away probably. I'm not sure how many fights Melendez has on his contract with Strikeforce, but I'd like to see guys like him, Curran, Aoki, Chandler, etc come on over to the UFC as well.

Eddie Alvarez will be in the UFC sooner rather than later, so after the winner of the title eliminators we discussed below get their shot, he should face a Maynard/Guida or one of the losers of the aforementioned fights and winner gets a shot.

Yep, he's another one who needs to just skip the bullshite and come on over. I know it'll never happen, but it'd be awesome to have a LW Grand Prix, or some type of fast-paced LW tournament to help decide the pecking order in that division.

Main card I'm pretty sure. Facebook will probably start before 5. So the Japanese fans better be ready to rock around 7am

Directv guide still says prelims start at 7pm and main card ppv starts at 9pm, is it possible they will just run later into the night instead of starting early?

Yep, I'm a dumbass and it looks like it will have the regular start time afterall. PPV starts @ 10E, and the FX undercards two hours earlier @ 8E

I was actually listening to the sirius fight club and they were saying that bars could be doing last call before the ME ends! I don't care though, I am fully torqued for this card!

Alvarez is going to have to try to get past Aoki if he has a shot at making it to the UFC. Alvarez is a great fighter and is super well rounded, but if he loses to Aoki again, that's 2 losses in a row. Even if he loses, i still think he can beat 90% of the fighters in the LW division.

i don't think frankie wants to go to the ground with Ben considering Ben said he's putting on some serious weight for this fight. that being said, Frankie can outlast him in a 5 rounder if Ben's cutting so much wt.

I can't wait for the Mark Hunt Cheick Kongo fight. I think it's just awesome that Hunt's still fighting and now he's on the main card of a UFC ppv
