Its about money. We need to change the current system too. Pretty terrible that you can go undefeated and still have no chance at the playoffs.

UCFs problem this year for the committee was they didn't have a good loss

Obviously its all a stunt and corny as frick, but a statement has to be made. CFB makes up its own rules all the time, and has historically made up champions, why not add one more?
In no other sport can a team never lose and not win a championship. The fact that CFB is set up so that a team can win every game and not come even close to competing for a national championship "playoff/invitational" means that the sport and its leadership is lost.
At least we actually did it with the only undefeated team in a year, and not a 9-2 team that finished #20 *cough*.

Has Alabama claimed a national championship they didn't win on the field since the Bowl Coalition was implemented in 1992? If so....I will gladly say we shouldn't claim it.
