Tyreke Hill needs a little over 100 yards a game for the last 5 games to hit 2000 yards.

Will he be the first ever?

It’s not as impressive since it’s 17 games, but cool at least.

Since no QB is running away with the MVP, I think they’ll go out of their way to get him 2,000 to try pull the upset and win it. Not that they wouldn’t have anyway, but it may give them some extra motivation.

Just can’t get caught up doing it at the expense of actually winning games. Needs to happen as organically as possible.

Never been done in the history of the NFL. What's cooler than that?

The only issue with Tyreek as MVP is that he's been pretty mediocre in big games this year. He has 22 catches for 208 yards against the Chiefs, Bills, and Eagles and the Dolphins lost all three games. Had a costly fumble that single-handedly lost them the Chiefs game in Germany. The Dolphins finish the season against the Cowboys, Ravens, and Bills. He needs to show up and play to his usual standard in those games to have a shot at winning MVP.

I understand it’s never been done, but if he does it there should an* next to it. Because of the extra game.

There is a path to them locking up the 1 seed before week 18. If that happens and he plays chasing the 2,000 and gets hurt.... yeeeesh

eh. The extra game has been a thing for a few years now. and even with the extra game if he does get it done it will likely be just barely. There's something to be said for being the first to do anything.

Unreal that the Chiefs let him walk.

Here we go, another asterisk to soothe the savage beast.

In 1973, OJ Simpson was the first to 2000 yards rushing in a 14-game season. 7 others have done it but had 16 games to do it.

No asterisk was needed and it was cool every time.

Given that no player has ever done it before in the history of the NFL, how does anyone get an asterisk? It hasn't even become the standard yet.

By the way, I'm enjoying the hell out of Hill's accomplishment each week with Tua. And that doesn't need an asterisk either.

They traded him for 5 picks. Then went on to win the Superbowl the year after they "let him walk"

Chiefs made the right choice. No need to waste that much money on a WR when Patrick Mahomes doesn't need him.
