How people are defending this guy is beyond me. The verbal stuff isnt an issue, imo, but you can't kick people and you cant throw basketballs at their face. Rice is a POS.

I'm not defending the guy I just don't think if a player says coach was good to me and did a ton to help etc etc that's he's a delusional person because he doesn't have a pitchfork. I'm more defending the players from people on outside who act like they kbow more than people who lived it, but if you disagree you are delusional

At some point the negativity far outweighs any "help" he could have given.

If someone offered to rape me... but give me a million dollars every time and I turned around and said, "Man, look at all the good they did for me," my perspective is a bit deluded.

In this case it seems to me any player that would defend him is so used to the abuse they are a little out of touch with how inhumane it is.

You don't have to live every situation to see the injustice in it.

man, you know what? Bob Ley needs to get the stick out of his arse.

How the frick is anyone supposed to discuss what this guy was saying to kids that was over the line if we aren't even allowed to use the words in a descriptive context?

Its not like that player called anyone a count.

He was asked what he thought was over the line and he replied.

I mean what has more impact?

"I thought the coach was over the line when he used profanity directed at the players." (which could be anything)

or

"I thought the coach was over the line when he started calling players count."

the former could simply be the coach calling a player a jackass which is no biggie. Calling dudes count is way worse and for sure over the line.

What the frick.. We have what? 3 minutes of video on this guy's entire career and you're comparing it to the above scenario? Give me a damn break. None of us know what kind of person this guy is like based on that video. Give me 3 minutes of video of your worst moments in the last 3 years and I bet they won't look so hot either. I'm going to err on the side of caution and not jump to conclusions. Once the players start complaining, I'll change my tune. But for now, this is all I have to go on. And he knows the guy better than any of us.

How many players did espn interview that supported rice? Or was this another one sided espn hack job?

Sounds like you being given the choice to engage in prostitution, not rape.
