Nah, there is no way he coaches women's basketball ever again. How can AD possibly justify hiring a guy who sleeps with and apparently impregnates one of his players?

Tyler, you have a call on line 1:

I agree. The threat is gone. See who the new coach will be. If Summitt was staying it would be different.

Apparently she wasn't playing much defense.

Summit's number one assistant is very qualified to be a head coach.... More qualified than he was. I'll take my want to Clean house, but certainly could do worse than her.

Demoss won't stick around that fire dumpster. At some point the AD and Athletic Board need to take some responsibility.

You don't hire an unproven 24 year old male to coach 20 year old women. Odds are that sex will happen if a 24 year old man and a 20 year old woman are around each other long enough.

Stupid hire by the LaTech AD.

Tech won't hire a male coach that's for sure. This story is crazy. Really interested to see if the rumor is true and the girl is pregnant

No offense, but you sound really ignorant about the whole situation....and a UT fan has absolutely no room to talk about other school's "dumpster fires." DeMoss was actually one of the First Lady Techsters, etc. so I think she's the best option for the short term. The AD & athletic board did everything right in this situation.

I'd imagine you won't see many schools hiring a 23 year old male to coach a women's team.

Meh. The kid grew up around one of the best women's coaches/programs. He had no head coaching experience so his contract wasnt stupid expensive. Hindsight is 20/20.

He wasn't hired because he was around one of the best programs, he was hired because of who he came out of.

Yes, they all did it right.

Tyler Summitt’s treatment of Louisiana Tech’s starting point guard divided the team months before Summitt resigned Thursday as women’s basketball coach, parents of team members told USA TODAY Sports.

Summitt’s perceived favoritism of Brooke Pumroy and its negative impact on the team led junior Ashley Santos to address the matter with assistant coaches, according to Santos’ father, Jose.

“She presented to the coaches that some of the girls had confided in her that if things didn’t start to change, or some things weren’t addressed, they were not returning,’’ Jose Santos told USA TODAY Sports. “They didn’t like the environment at all and they talked about leaving and that’s a fact.

“I know for sure that Ashley was told there would be adjustments made and it never happened.’’

Ashley Santos on Friday posted a midriff-bearing photo of herself online to prove she was not impregnated by Summitt, the player’s parents told USA TODAY Sports Friday.

Good, but the best joke about this to date is easily:

"Given all the issues with 'live' mascots at ltu, Summit is not the only one to bury a dawg bone in Ruston."

Two 'live' LTU mascots no longer 'live.'

Civil jury will have the final say as to whether tech and the board did everything right

Yep. And I'm afraid there's already a bunch of evidence coming forward that proves they certainly were not doing the right thing, lol

Oh, oh ltu-R
