Tyjae Spears suffers concussion despite wearing Guardian Cap

Many on the MSB derisively refer to the Guardian Caps as "cuck caps" or "cuck buckets", and make sport of mocking any NFL player who wears the unsightly equipment in games.
Haters of the caps had quite a day yesterday, as Titans RB Tyjae Spears sported the unfortunate bobble head look yet still suffered a season-ending concussion.
Many who oppose the Guardian caps do so for reasons of style, but there's also a multiple scientific reasons to oppose the caps. "You can't play scared. If you wear a cuck cap, you are manifesting an injury because you are telling the football gods: 'Please don't let me get hurt. That's not going to end well for you'" says NFL expert LSUneaux, who regularly watches up to 12 hours of professional football each week.

“Man with seat belt on still dies in car fire. Clearly seatbelts don’t work”

I watched the game (unfortunately a jags fan) that guardian cap was not fully on correctly when he suffered the concussion if I am remembering correctly. He was running all over the jags yesterday and right before the injury the cap was looking like it was about to fall off.

Wildcat, I'm going to ask you to have a seat...

Damn I didn’t know the English pound had fallen in value so hard that you’re slumming it at the OYO motel these days
Hope the free scram is worth the price

Guardian caps do nothing to prevent the cause of concussions which is the brain moving around inside the skull. Guardian cap or no guardian cap your brain is still experiencing the violent movement and rapid deceleration from contact and hitting your head on the ground. You look like an idiot while wearing one while receiving no benefit. The seat belt comparison above is idiotic. Laughing at the smoothbrains agreeing with that. Seat belts keep you in the vehicle during a rollover or head on collision.

I think you misunderstood the point of that comparison
More so making fun of the mongoloid logic used in the OP to prove that they don’t work, more so than arguing the specifics of whether they do work. It’s a pretty silly thing to care about one way or the other

How effective even are those things against concussions? There's already a lot of padding inside a regular helmet. The issue with concussions is the brain inside the skull moving. Whether you're wearing the guardian cap or not, taking a big hit that causes a big impact from the opposite direction you're running in is going to risk stirring up the inside of your skull.
I imagine a glass jar with a bobblehead in it. If I shake the jar, the bobblehead will move around. If I add foam padding to the jar and shake it, the bobblehead will still move, the padding just protects the jar itself.

Why don’t you share your research? Much smarter people than you say you’re wrong.

Sir Winston can have the trannies to himself but Guardian Caps are one issue I'll back him to the death on

The N.F.L. says they work.. shocker. Most everyone else says they don't do shite.

Stanford did research on it and in the lab Guardian Caps did decrease effects of impact from glancing blows probably due to the cap slipping and not because of the padding.
They couldn't replicate that in real world tests, which showed that the caps provided no extra protection when tested in small number of players.
Stanford Medicine
Another 2023 NIH study also found no benefit.

So bike/motorcycle helmets do nothing to stop head injuries?

To what end? Just esthetics?
Even it’s completely placebo, who gives a shite if a player wants to wear it

They'll prevent your head from cracking open. Like helmets that players are already wearing. If you smack your head on the pavement with a motorcycle helmet on you're still going to get a concussion.

Because it looks idiotic
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman said, “It messes up everybody’s swag on the field. You will never see me wearing that in a game.”
Tennessee Titans center Lloyd Cushenberry said "I don’t know about wearing it in games. Swag over safety a little bit. It looks kind of goofy.”

But the threshold of force required to give you a concussion will be less with no helmet. I'm shocked you're legitimately arguing this

A study by NATA
Ultimately says there's no added benefit to prevent concussions
A study by NIH
Also says there's no difference in the forces experienced with or without the guardian cap
About the only people I see that do say it works is the NFL itself. They're going to be biased because they care about the optics, but just about every independent study I can find doesn't agree with the NFL in this regard
