Maybe so. Hard to believe he reacts that way if he hits it perfectly. But I still believe he was in a shite load of pain. Bending from his knees to get his birdie putts out the hole showed that. He also looked like a coked up zombie in his post round interview.

Never happened on the golf course, but I have had to drop to my knees when taking clothes out of the dryer or when making up the bed. When it hits you, you will surely know it. That being said, Tiger over-emotes for the camera all the time. He is the consummate attention whore.

Back spasms can be debilitating. I've seen grown men be forced to lay down on the ground.

Talk about milking it for the cameras. I've never seen anyone, ever, crumble to the ground in agony like that. Give me a break.

I don't know how often you attend live sporting events, but that's nothing compared to what I've seen at practically every track meet I've ever attended, especially at the elite college and pro level.

I am saying that he did not have to go down to his knees. That was all show.

Legitimate? Yes.

Dramatic? Yes.

He also could give two shits about the Fed Ex Cup. So I hope he is not just pre-meditating his excuse for stepping aside.

Even though we won't have to hold a benefit for Tiger anytime soon, I would think the possibility of putting a 1 million bonus in the bank might appeal to him.

OTOH, if his Doctor says don't play, he's done.

i don't think so. the fact that he even played says he cares at some level. a few other players skipped this week and he didn't. plus, i think he really wants to win POY and the $10M.

Damn, where have I been? I thought it was a 1 million bonus. For 10 million he'll play on crutches.

you mean this: "I don't just view Tiger as the greatest golfer in history, I think he's the greatest athlete who ever lived."

wonder if any of you have ever pulled your back when lifting something heavy or working out lower backs, when you pull it wrong it drops you quick. I've seen muscular probably 5% fat guys drop to the ground when they do something wrong at the gym.

I've had back spasms plenty of times. its painful and uncomfortable. I can see how him stretching it out a few times is legit as that is what I would always do...but i've never fallen to the ground like I've been shot...I've known plenty of people who have suffereed badly from this and never witnessed that before.

and other people say they have fallen to the ground. bottom line is none of us know if he was exaggerating or not.
