Two-time AL Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber announced his retirement on social media Friday morning, ending a 13-year career.

A three-time All-Star, Kluber won his first Cy Young with Cleveland in 2014, going 18-9 with a 2.44 ERA. He won the award again in 2017, finishing 18-4 with a 2.25 ERA.

First ballot hall of fame pitcher. Arguably the best pitcher in MLB from 2010-2017.

Kluber strikes out 18 Cardinals

He was nasty in his prime.

As a Cubs fan, this dude was the only reason I was scared to face the Indians in 2016. I legit thought he would win them 3 games that series.

Too short of a career. Didn't stack enough numbers. No HoF.

Great pitcher, tho.

He’s like Jake Peavey… at his best he was dominant. Not enough though to pitch in the HOF rotation.

Threw IMO, one of the best off speed pitches ever, it was nasty. But not Hall of Fame pitcher

Not with 116 career wins. Not on ANY ballot.

He’s pitched 1,641 innings in his career. That’s basically 7 seasons and change for a top level starter. He only had 5 seasons of 200 or more innings. His next two highest seasons were 160ish and 140ish.

He had two elite seasons, two great seasons, one good one, two very mediocre seasons at best, and 6 seasons with a cup of coffee.

Not Hall worthy and I’m not a strict guy when it comes to the Hall.
