Transitive property doesn't work. Tulane has the better schedule and better wins and is the more deserving team.

I am sorry but Tulane in the 2020’s couldn’t stay within 30 points of a Top 15 team in the postseason.
Could you even imagine if they get put up against team with a Heisman Trophy winner? They might lose by 60+!

Who cares? They came together as a team and at the end, they were significantly better than anyone else in the country, and it was painfully obvious. They had wins over 3 playoff teams in the regular season, 2 of them on the road.
The battle is lost, this is the new world order. The era of scheduling soft and hoping to go unbeaten or 1 loss and winning a media / propaganda war for votes is long gone. I for one could not be happier.

I guess I missed that 2022 cotton bowl game against USC.
