The bama drops were game losers. The streak would’ve ended that night who knows how that changes history. He’s right where he needs to be, playing flag football

I vaguely remember a drop recently against UCF that sealed SMU's fate.

Good for him. Don’t let NFL scouts see the Bama game.

What a fricking asinine comment. Beckham and Landry had significant drops early in their career too.

Right so he gets every teams 2nd best coverage guys.

So does this say that Jarvis Landry wasn't as good as everyone would like to think he was at LSU?

No matter what Trey Quinn does, the rant will never let that game against Alabama go. I'm not betting on it, but Quinn can get drafted in the first round and go on to have a very productive NFL career. Yet the only thing people would want to talk about are those dropped passes against Bama.

Actually Quinn gets 3rd guy coverage as most teams always double Sutton if at all possible

Oooo so they double team the guy with 55 catches, 875 yards, & 11 TDs but leave the guy with 96 catches 1008 yards, & 8 TDs to be covered by their 3rd best DB, and presumably leave the guy with 33 catches, 690 yards, and 5 TDs to be covered by their 4th best DB?

Either those teams are way dumber than I would have ever expected, you’re just talking strategic nonsense, or both.

Quinn dropped a huge 4th down pass that ended the hopes of a Mustang comeback against UCF. Wide open too, nobody for at least five yards in any direction. Hit him square in the hands. So best hands in college football? I don't think so. At least not in pressure situations.

Just when I thought LSU fans were the dumbest, you go and top them. Do you really think that "double coverage" means that teams take their best two cornerbacks and shadow a receiver all over the field? Isn't it more likely that teams use a corner back and a safety to help with deep routes while leaving their 2nd best cover guy on the #2 receiver?

As for moron LSU fans blaming a drop with 1:40 left in the game for the 2014 Bama loss, do they not realize that after the drop Bama fumbled the ensuing drive and LSU started with the ball first and goal and 1:12 left?

Just when I thought you are smarter than you appear. You are not.

Usually teams double Sutton with a Nickle and their top Corner Quinn plays the slot mostly which is usually your 3rd best cover guy. They try to cover Outside in when stopping that type of offense. So, as I said they take the 3rd best cover guy and put him on Quinn.

What? I'm saying Quinn is getting the second best cover guy from teams in the AAC. The 2nd best cover guys aren't exactly world beaters.
