Yeah, that reputation that he was a bust comes from how much Ditka gave up to get him and then him taking a hiatus to go get high everyday. He was great on the Saints and even when he came back on the Dolphins with Ronnie Brown for a little while.

He wishes he was half the running back. Ricky played on shite teams and stayed high, but still ran for over 10,000 yards in his career.

I still dont see where the bust label ,in Jacksonville, comes from..I guess it's based on him being drafted so high, but he was the best player, and most responsible for the success they had the season that he led the jags and Blake Bortles to the AFC championship. Hell ,they were leading that game against the champs in the 4th quarter. Look at his stats in Jacksonville, he rushed for over 1000 yards a year when he was healthy, and he would always be towards the top of the nfl in all purpose yards.

The Jags beat Pittsburgh and led New England because Bortles played the two best games of his career, and their defense was superb.

You never, ever, ever draft a RB as high as the Jags drafted Fournette. Players drafted that high need to be franchise altering players, and RBs aren't that anymore. The best RBs in history would get stuffed behind awful blocking. That position is more dependant on the players around it than any other in the league.

Ricky is low key one of the best RBs in recent history. I think people would have a different opinion had the suspension and NFL hiatus never happened. He’d probably have another 2k+ yards and be fringe top 10 all time in yardage.

Fournette reminds me more of Reggie Bush in terms of people’s views. The hype was so extreme there was no way to live up to it. Doesn’t mean he’s not still good and can contribute to a team. He’s already got 2 1000 yard seasons and is still 25.

don’t get it. He never had elite vision but his vision seemed a lot better at LSU.

Playing field got level when he moved up to the pros.

I never thought he would be great in the pros.

But I also thought Henry would fail miserably in the pros and my god was I wrong. Fun to watch.

Bush would be a stud if he came into the league now with more innovative offensive coaching. The Lions and Dolphins tried using him as a traditional, between the tackles RB when that was not the optimal way to use him.

The Saints had the right idea with him, but he should have been used more like Darren Sproles and Alvin Kamara were/are.

I still think most RBs aren't used enough as receivers. RB vs LB is the best matchup on the field for an offense and it isn't exploited nearly as much as it should be.

Reggie Bush had to walk in the Saints offense before Sproles and Kamara could run.

Marcus Allen had the best vision because he had to.

He couldn't over power people and he couldn't outrun them. Despite being the first college running back to gain over 2,000 yards and winning the Heisman, scouts said he couldn't run.

But he could just find that little crack in the line and squeeze through.

Sometimes people who are so physically gifted and big, they never gain that instinct.

Leonard Fournette will end up as the #2 all-time NFL bust in LSU history behind JaMarcus Russell.

I still laugh uncontrollably at Henry’s poo dreadlock. It’s even marbled like when I was 25 lbs overweight and would be constipated for 3 days and my poo would have varying colours to it.

This explains so much about why you are... the way you are.
