Highly recommend giving this episode a listen.

I had no idea that Dilfer still has a salty relationship with Elvis Grbac and John Harbaugh. Also, that back when Dilfer was in Tampa Bay. He and his wife were booed out of a Chili's restaurant.

If I was a multi-millionaire, I would not be going to eat at Chili’s. I would have the Chili’s delivered to my mansion

Chili’s back in the 1990s was apparently the place to be

I also forgot to mention that his relationship with Matt Hasselbeck really is something special. Hasselbeck stuck with him in Seattle after Dilfer's son died. Apparently, he would bring Sega over and they would play video games all night together.

Which is really something. Considering Dilfer flamed Hasselbeck during his first few weeks in Seattle.

To be fair, everything in Tampa is a Chilis. I think 6 or 7 major chains started in Tampa. The original Hooters is in Tampa.

Leroy Selmons BBQ place is pretty damn good.

Trent's daughter and my niece play volleyball together here in Austin so I've seen him a lot over the past couple of years since they've moved here. I'll say this -- as cheesy as he comes across when he's on TV/radio talking about the NFL and QB position, the guy is genuinely passionate about the sport and position, it's not just a schtick. He's a down-to-earth, approachable guy which is nice given that he's won a Super Bowl and he's also the arse-end of a lot of jokes when it comes to comparing SB winning QBs.

That's how I feel about him after hearing a number of interviews. This interview is by far my favorite from him. He's willing to put all of his demons out there and talk about some tough times he had.

The backup QB series has been outstanding. Dilfer claims that Hassleback saved his life with his support. That was some deep, dark shite.

It was the best.

I really respect the QBs for coming on the podcast and being open about why they failed. It would be pretty easy for them to Still be bitter or even still cocky considering they were still good enough to make it to the NFL. I wish more people were this self aware of their failures in life

The part about Dilfer being 260+ pounds and drinking to go to sleep was rough. hasselbeck really does seem like a good dude.

On the flip side, it was interesting to hear Dilfer talk about how they didn't like one another when he first got to Seattle. Calling Hasselback a "a fake Boston tough guy" made Russillo laugh.
