Maybe in a one day race but not in the Tour to a GC wearing yellow. But again, that's my opinion.
Okay, but why?
So wearing the yellow means that you can frick up and others have to allow you to frick up and not take advantage of it?
I will take it a step further and say that the wherever - Paris leg is bullshite as it is basically a coronation ride. Let them keep racing. Screw that yellow jersey mystique.

normally with something like a flat, I'd say it was a bitch move, but dropping a chain means schleck fricked up and was in a bad gear. That's on him

It's a race. Why the hell would someone stop and wait?
There are many unwritten rules in the Tour. One has always been you don't attack the yellow jersey if he crashes or has a mechanical. When Lance caught the spectators bag during a climb a few years ago, Ullrich did not attack. He sat up and waited for Lance to get back.

Ohhhhh...
So you just agree with it because it is an unwritten Frenchy rule.

To be the man, you have to beat the man. You do not want any excuses.

Since it was the last climb of the day and the other contders were right there, I'm a little bit conflicted about this, but Contador's post race comments show that he knows he is in the wrong.

I think once Menchov and Sanchez caught up with Alberto, it was race on to those 3. Alberto will probably take all the flak too and unfairly.

Not a punk move for the following reasons:
1. the problem was Schleck's own fault, not bad luck (he flubbed the shift--it wasn't a mechanical failure);
2. It was a critical time in the race;
3. Contador followed the third and fourth-placed riders - he couldn't afford to sacrifice any more time to them
I don't particularly like AC's personality, but this IS racing, after all. Even Armstrong didn't call him out, so give the guy a break.

I haven't heard, did he admit this? I've had chains/ gears do weird things on my bike while racing. Especially when standing to climb.

And Schleck was the one attacking.

As I stated, I think they are all punks. But contador could have followed Menchov and Sanchez and not helped. He could have also told them to slow down although they may or may not have listened. Bottom line is Contador saw Schleck had a mechanical. He had no way of knowing, as you suggest, that it was Schlecks fault the chain slipped. It may have been a broken chain for all contador knew.

Why is everyone forgetting that they didnt attack and waited for Shleck when he crashed, so one time ok a sencond no they dont wait. Contador should not be discredited for this, Menchov and Sanchez attacked also.

first time waiting was for the whole field to regroup wasn't it? It wasn't specifically for Andy.
By thursday two things need to happen. Alberto can open his gap by killing it the next two days or on the TT shutting everybody up. Or Andy do the same. Otherwise, if 30 seconds is the difference, Tour drama for Yeats to come.
