Red Sox did dump Gonzales, Crawford, and Beckett last year that was over 116M right?

Yeah, like any Marlins fan feeling like they got stabbed in the back again. But it really doesn't seem that bad, Johnson had one year on his deal, Buerhle is 33 and makes 14M/year. Everyone seems split on if Reyes is worth his deal, I think he is but if you are moving him you can't expect too much considering he was just ok last year. Would have been nice for them if they could get D'Arnaud but it seems like the package of prospects they got is pretty good.

Love it for the Jays though, might be a trade that works out well for both teams. Marlins know they fricked up last year but I don't think they are going to avoid spending again in the near future because of it.

Ozzie's still available. Familiar with the players traded. Why not?

I am. Wasn't referring to myself in the first sentence. Glad I am not a Marlins fan today.

These are back loaded deals as well....

- As for the Blue Jays, well, they obviously got a whole lot better. The rotation now lines up as Johnson, Buehrle, Brandon Morrow, Ricky Romero and probably J.A. Happ. Kyle Drabek will return from Tommy John sometime next year, and the team still has some quality pitching prospects behind them.

The lineup could look like:

SS Reyes
2B Bonifacio
RF Jose Bautista
DH/1B Edwin Encarnacion
1B/DH Adam Lind/free agent
3B Brett Lawrie
CF Colby Rasmus
C J.P. Arencibia
LF Free agent/Rajai Davis

This franchise has been so frustrating. The team went to Miami when I was just 3 years old, and that 97 season is probably my first baseball memory. Other than the two World Series wins this franchise has been a complete clusterfrick.

Toronto should try and deal Lind IMO

People are discrediting JJ. He's a stud. Last year he was coming off injury

Think Stanton asks for a trade now? He's pissed and knows there will be a good chance he will get dealt when its his turn to cash in. He might just say screw it and ask out now.

They are not going to trade Stanton. They have dropped like 70 million since last year's payroll? I would not be surprised if they give Stanton a fat contract to buyout his arbitration years.

Loria is the worst owner in sports history. Apparently, destroying the Expos wasn't enough for one lifetime. I hate him so much, and he's never owned a team I root for. He's the Baseball Angel of Death.

If he buys your franchise, just start rooting for someone else.

Even if they give him a fat contract there is no guarantee he stays for more than 3 years. The Marlins are nowhere close to competing any time soon and probably won't be for awhile.

Lets just say, I hope Stanton is just renting a house.

I despise Loria. Our team changes every damn year. Stanton will be gone soon enough with the rest of them
