Like is that really all they have?

You mean more than the two wins they had against Baylor this year? Or the other 25 wins against Baylor? Or the 7 national championships? Or five conference championships in a row?

No, the horns down symbol is not all OU has. You're better than this.

ETA: I don't do the horns down symbol at any time, even when we are playing Texas. Makes me cringe.

I went to the Big XII title game between Nebraska and Oklahoma and their fans were a class act.

Very loud and very friendly. LSU fans should enjoy partying with them

Pretty laughable too. They're about to lose another playoff game. Won't that be 0-4 in the CFP era? Big Game Bob spirit lives on.

OU spirit squad members have been “heavily encouraged” not to perform the “horns down” hand sign at athletic events or on any social media platform, sources within the program have told The Daily.

The horns down symbol — a staple among Oklahoma fans for over 50 years to signal disdain toward their chief rival, the Texas Longhorns — has been widely controversial in the past two years after the Big 12 Conference decided to penalize teams that use it during games.

Seven student members from across OU’s spirit teams, including the cheer squad, RUF/NEKS, Lil’ Sis and mascots programs, have told The Daily they’ve been instructed by OU Spirit Coordinator Phil O’Neill not to use the hand sign. The students, some of whom have graduated and some who remain in the program, all shared the information on the condition of anonymity. Their identities are known to The Daily.

My hatred has died down considerably after just one win this past year.

I can totally understand that. I don't think Hurts is a very good player, and would've put Tua in earlier in the 2017 season, but not many guys would show the kind of selflessness and loyalty that he did by staying for 2018

Saban had teams start 13-0 in 2009, 2016 and 2018. If LSU wins it all this season, you'd be correct that he'd have the same number of undefeated MNC seasons as Saban does.

Y'all have got 2 National titles this decade without a conference title to go along with it.

I don't think anyone can say anything about y'all being undeserving considering the hardware, but I don't think you can say anything about it being a second chance considering the lack of hardware.

I understand Horns Down. UT being a bunch of pussies.

But can the OU band learn another song? I don’t hate your school song, I have just literally never heard them play any other song.

Centering your fandom on hating another program will never be cool. Are Aggies cool? Didn't think so

That cover has always pissed me off. Charles Thompson didn't abuse a woman. Charles Thompson didn't assault or rape anyone. He sold 17 grams of coke to an undercover fed, admitted his guilt in a plea agreement and did 17 months in prison for it. Since then, he's been a model citizen.

I was in college during the Brian Bosworth days. I did not attend OU but I remember thinking a war was going to break out when OU played Thug U. College football fans today (ages 18-30) didn’t see what kind is shite went down during these games. I wouldn’t be surprised if players had guns in their lockers. It was wild. I wish I knew all the crap that went down with Switzer and Jimmy Johnson teams. Not the 30 for 30 either.
