Rules & spirit of rules aside, players seem more careless than ever one-handing it for the pylon. Maybe some kid saw this today & figured Dez should've probably just secured the ball. Maybe not.

looks like Cowboys got their karma from last week IMO

I mean, they didn't frick up last weeks call, not sure how they have bad karma for it.

As a Cowboys fan I can agree that Dallas got away with one last week. They also got screwed this week.

yes, I thought he had possession when he took 3 steps forward. It was close, but I was shocked that they actually reversed the call.

I made this comment a few minutes ago. If Dez doesn't go for the endzone and pulls the ball in is is a completely different story.

Can you be any more biased? His hand is not under the football and the ball moved, what was it hitting?

Could you be more obtuse? You are inferring that the ball touched the ground but it does not actually show the ball touching the ground. At best there is not enough visual evidence to overturn the call. Unless you are saying common sense should be used because if that is the case then cmon sense says he caught the ball.

The pylon is obstructing the view of the football in that gif at the moment of impact. so you don't see the football touch the ground.

Looking at the picture taken a millisecond before anything hit the ground, I'd say it's safe to assume it did.

I hate the Cowboys with a passion but even I think it was a catch. I personally don't think the Calvin Johnson rule comes onto play because a football move was made. I'm happy it happened though.

Absolutely a catch.

But I hate the Cowboys so I'm torn. But it was a catch.

When an NFL rule punishes a player for being athletic then it's a terrible rule.

Catch and an absolutely horrible call.

I expect the rule to get amended before next season.

Obviously not a catch. He never made a football move with possession of the ball.

One of the best catches I have ever seen considering the circumstances and the catch itself. If that's not a catch then what the frick is. Terrible, terrible call by the refs. Video review is ruining the game.

It was a great catch, right up to the point that it hit the ground and he bobbled it

I don't think a football move was ever made. He didn't gain full possession until right before he went down. A lunge like that isn't a football move. A football move has to involve your feet.

Bryant should have worried more about securing the ball than reaching it towards the endzone.

I thought it was at first but we've seen other plays similar to that one get called back for not "completing the process of the catch"

so whatever.

I agree, but that's exactly why it's a terrible rule.
