quote:sure it's debatable.
That's debatable.
But switching his ball hand and a stretch at the end, you can't say it was indisputable, correct?
If it's debatable, then it shouldn't have been overturned.

By your own post do you agree the ruling should have stood?

How is this thread 15 pages? That pass was easily incomplete. Falling down isn't a football move and the ball clearly hit the ground and popped up.
A lot of delusion up in here.

quote:Exactly.
It's not. It's about maintaining control through the catch. That's what makes it incomplete, not the steps.
This isn't hard to understand.

He definitely made a "football move"......He caught the f'n football!

Then it's not indisputable.
Him not controlling the ball through the catch was indisputable

If he makes a football move it doesn't have to be controlled to the ground
It's definitely understandable that this is debatable

At the end of the day, the only way to say he didn't make a football move is to assume he wasn't stretching for the endzone but rather just falling down.
That is not what the refs are paid to do, and that is not enough to overturn a call of a catch.

Dude... Just because you make a football move doesn't mean the catch is completed. If that's how it was then you would be able to bobble the ball for 15 yards, without securing the ball, and then when the ball hits the ground it would be a fumble and not an incomplete.
You have to secure the catch ffirst and show clear possession. If the ball is moving / bobbling, it doesn't matter what you do until you secure the catch.

Another great point, how is switching hands not a football move?
switching hands?
dive?
cmon man

No, not according to the rule. He's falling as soon as he hits the ground. He must complete the act of the catch, which includes falling to the ground. He didn't do that
Posted on 1/11/15 at 3:55 pm to shel311
Even then, he doesn't complete the process of the catch through the ground.
If anything, the stretch is what screwed him.
