No, it says football move completes the catch as well. That is up to everyone's interpretation

And since it's interpretation, in no way can they reverse the call on the field.

EXACTLY. These idiots on TV won't actually break it down as it really happened. it was so clear DEZ had control and took three steps and MADE THE MOVE to dive to the end zone. if he was falling to the ground his back would have hit.

He didn't make a football move. He fell to the ground.

the dive was not as clear as some are making it out to be

he had enough control of the ball to stretch out and reach. possession was there.

would have been a TD a yard closer, but ended up a incomplete instead. doesnt make much sense.

Wow, a lot of you obviously do not know the rules. It was not a catch. He has to maintain control/possession when going to the ground

Letter of the rule: Not a catch

Should he get credit for a catch because, holy frick what a demonstration of athleticism and football moxie: Yes, most definitely.

further more I don't think the ball ever hit the ground. I think DEZ arm was under it after the stretch.

That was an awful reversal. No way around it.

Hopefully Garrett takes the high road.

actually it does matter if he made a football move, and thus completed the act of a catch.

How could that possibly not matter?

As a Cowboys fan, I will say that it was not a catch according to the rule. However, it is a stupid rule. 3 steps should absolutely be considered a football move.

and that angle opens up the issue of whether the ball even hit the ground or not

Can you be any more biased? His hand is not under the football and the ball moved, what was it hitting?

The thing is they are applying that rule as if a player is laying out trying to make a diving catch. It shouldn't be applied to a player who reaches the ball out after catching the ball out of the air.

That's where the rule lacks common sense

That was a HORRIBLE call... Bryant took two steps WITH control and the ground can't cause a fumble. IT WAS A CATCH..........
