4.81 is an unofficial time. It could be as high as a 4.9
Posted on 2/25/13 at 4:24 pm to WG_Dawg
It depeneds on my team and what my needs are. If I'm Baltimore I don't want him nor need him. If I'm a team who needs some help, Bills, I may look in the 2nd.

where will be get drafted
If he goes 1st round I would be shocked, He got OWNED against better athletes as in Bama. He is not worth anymore than a 3rd round pick. BUT some GM will be stupid enough to draft him higher.

Huh. Then I guess he's off the hook. Usually when they release the unofficial time, it goes up about a full 1/10 of a second

i just remember when Brandon SPikes ran a 5.00, and everyone said he'd drop to the late rounds

I think JFF will go in the first when he comes out. Especially with the success of players like RGIII.
. Um, no. Geno Smith is 6'5. RG III is 6'3 and runs a sub 4.4. JFF is barely 6'0 and is probably a 4.6 guy. Has a QB that short ever been drafted in the 1st round? Brees was early 2nd round, but that may be rare.

He was owned against Bama, but so was Ogletree. So is Ogletree a 3rd rounder?

Ogletree
A much better athlete and played tough opponenets all year. Manti is NOT ready for what is about to happen to him.

I think the NFL is gonna reach on dual threat QBs in this draft which is good for Geno Smith.
But....
RG3, Cam and CK are freaks of nature.
You can't just draft any dual threat QB because it feels like a trend.
It's not a trend, we just happen to be in a moment of time where there are a small handfull of insanely talented guys are changing the game because they exist, not because the game is headed that direction over all.

That is funny. But is he watching Te'o, or sitting next to someone and talking? Can't figure out why his eyes are moving right to left, yet Te'o is moving left to right?
He was on the opposite side of the field watching Te'o. On his first attempt, Harbaugh just hung his head in disgust.

Geno Smith is not a dual-threat QB. Here are his rushing stats for this year: 66 att, 151 yd, 2.3 ypc, 2 TD.

He's black, so he must be a dual threat QB.

Seriously, a MLB in a 43 doesn't have to be fast.

There are 12 defensive linemen listed by NFL.com that ran at least a 4.81 in the 40. LSU defensive end Sam Montgomery, a 262-pound defensive end, ran a 4.81. Two 300-pound offensive linemen ran a shade better than 4.7 at the combine. Te'o was far from being fast, FARRRRRR from it.

I think Minter and Te'o are better than Ogletree. They have better instincts and control their gaps much better. For being hyped as a much better athlete, Ogletree's combine numbers were not overwhelmingly great.
Ogletree ran a 4.70 40 yard dash.
Te'o and Minter ran 4.81.
Te'o was quicker and showed better change of direction, which surprised me. Shuttle drills are better barometers for LBs in my opinion than a straight line 40 yard run.
Te'o ran a 4.27 in the 20 yard shuttle
Ogletree ran a 4.39.
Te'o ran a 7.13 in the 3 cone.
Ogletree ran a 7.16.
Minter did not run.
