Did anyone catch the female broadcaster refer to Rice's American flag logo as the "stars and bars"? I thought that was pretty interesting, I wonder if she'll catch some flak for that.

As the announcers said, it doesn't happen often. I met him a couple of years ago at a function and chatted for 5-10 minutes. Great young man, with a great attitude. Will probably wear stars down the road.

When I served (66-86)that was certainly the case.

With todays smaller AF, I would imagine it helps but the odds are obviously reduced.
