I wasn't overall impressed by Tech in second half. I will say they are 2 years away from being the killer of giants if they can find a QB that can run the system and a year away if they get a RB that can stay healthy with above QB

I agree. We are a few players away from being a damn good team. I still think we are very close to a Top 25 team even without good QB play though.

The only thing that would concern me is that they become Tech East. Meaning that they just go offense and pretty soon that system will get shut down and has to evolve. But during its reinvention they don't start getting shelled because they can't stop anyone.

This game is all the proof that you need that Tech would indeed skullfrack ULL! But who cares....I'm happy for yall's win & while disappointed tonight, there's no shame in what Tech did tonight! Very excited about next year...Oh & They are not the Techsters you moron!!! That's the name of the Lady's Basketball Team!!!!

I think you and I think a lot alike. I hate coaches who believing in "outscoring the other team" rather than "holding the other team to fewer points." It is so much easier to win by playing good defense than by consistently having to rely on a finesse passing game to win. So many things can go wrong with that. LSU doesn't even need an offense to win a national championship. Turnovers and special teams play is enough. The addition of any offensive production just makes it unfair. That's how I like it.

But Tech can't get the talent LSU gets, so we will have to try to rely on a Texas Tech style to be competitive with the more physical teams. Just can't forget the defense part.

I was happy for the cajuns on their first bowl appearance and first bowl win ever. Dont for a second think that just because you barely beat SDSU on a last second FG in your "home" stadium it means the same thing as losing by one TD to TCU, 1,600 miles away. We would still "skull-drag" ULL

I was pulling for you guys tonight, but comeon. Y'all are 5-0 this year in moral victories.

They fought hard. I appreciate the La Tech fans unlike the ULL fans who think they are better than everyone and don't know their place in the hierarchy

They win one bowl game in 50 years and look how big there egos get... On the other hand I did pick TCU in my bowl pick em but it was bittersweet LA Tech played amazing last night... If there coach stays 2 or 3 more years LA Tech will be a team to really make some noise

Why couldn't they get La. Tech in the New Orleans bowl to play ULL. That would have been a great crowd and a heck of a game.

It's okay LaTech. We hate delusional fricking ULL fans also.

Go somewhere besides the New Orleans bowl and then come talk to the big boys.

LaTech lost to TCU, the #18 team.

You beat San Diego State. I didn't even know who that was until the New Orleans bowl.

Great effort from Tech. DB play really cost them in many key spots in the game. They had to get off of the field in those third and longs in the second half.

Tech represented Louisiana well.

If Creel plays, they win. Couldn't punch it in when close and that really hurt them. Could've easily been 17/21-3 in the first half if he played.

how was the crowd?

Smallest crowd in the 7 year history of the bowl. Just over 24,000, announced. So probably like 18k or 19k
