The Bengals. Cheap. Year after year worst ownership rated. Only first round pick unsigned. Dude is nearly dead…but I agree. F the agent.

Then maybe he should have had them add a "don't get paid if you are in jail clause" rather than a "we dont wanna pay you if you do anything we think could possibly hurt the team" clause.

Aren’t voids related to “conduct detrimental to the team” overwhelmingly common?

I hope they don’t sign him at all at this point.

this is the first time it's ever been used on an NFL first round pick.

Why should you be paid if you're in jail?

The Bengals tried to put it in the last 2 years and it was negotiated out of the contract both times.

And it doesn't just include stuff like going to jail as the owner mentioned

Notably it includes this language for voiding his guaranteed money:

if Player makes any public comment, including but not limited to the newspaper, magazines, television, radio, social media or internet that breaches Player's obligation of loyalty to Club and/or undermines the public's respect for the Club, Club coaches, or Club management (provided that upon the first such comment Player shall receive a written warning and upon the second and any other subsequent comment, Player shall be in default of this Guarantee

Can't have players speaking out about the genocide that Israel is engaged in.

I find it funny the Bengals are already considered one of the worst orgs in the NFL and now they are the only team that hasnt signed their first round pick.

Sucks for Burrow that he's stuck with these clowns.

“Conduct Detrimental” is a term and clause that’s standard. When Ray Rice punched his wife it didn’t matter that he ultimately did or didn’t end up in jail. He was untouchable.

The disagreement is over the language in Stewart's contract that would trigger the voiding of his salary guarantees with a breach or default by him. The Bengals want to tighten up the language to remove any ambiguity over whether all remaining guarantees in the contract void with a default. Stewart's camp prefers the language the Bengals used with their 2024 first round-pick, Amarius Mims, who was selected one spot later than Stewart at 18th overall.

Stewart basically wants all the money, regardless of what he does. Which is why the general public isn’t supporting him. Dude you made it, stay out of trouble, keep your thoughts to yourself and get paid.

His camp doesn’t want him to be able to be held accountable for anny stupid shite he says it does. Imagine how ridiculous that is.

“No we don’t want to worry about our guy behaving off the field or saying dumb shite. We want him to get paid even if he does that.”

I hope he never signs a contract anywhere and never plays football again.

Burrow signed that second contract knowing full damn well who owns the team.

Is this the same guy that signed Pac-Man Jones and Burfict multiple times?
