Henry? GTFO. One year, with a gazillion carries.

Fair enough, Stanford's one of the most prestigious football programs on the West Coast for them not to achieve a winning season with an all-time quarterback was a massive disappointment. Elway did submit impressive stats and earned all-American honors to at least ensure his placement on the list, so they offset each other from an individual player standpoint.

Not saying he should be anywhere near this list, but it is kinda crazy how Thurman Thomas' career is completely overshadowed and even forgotten due to his back up.

Thurman was a 2x first team all-American and is "upstaged" by Barry Sanders. Makes literally zero sense.

Right, one year, just like Leonard Fournette who also only had one good season.

People I think need to be on that list

Joe Washington
Billy Sims
Quinton Coryatt

People that need to be off the list

Jerry Rice
John Elway
Danny Wuerffel

Remove Wuerffel, insert Charlie Ward.

Remove Singletary, insert Dat Nguyen. If you compare COLLEGE production between the two it isn't even close. In fact, it's criminal (I'd venture to say racist) that Dat wasn't the 1998 Butkus winner over Chris Claiborne (Jevon Kearse was the third finalist and CLAIBORNE won it?)

I'd put Dat in there over Coryatt. Coryatt was a game-changer and a menace on the field, but Dat was more productive.

I'd put Charlie Ward in there as well over Wuerffel.

didn't move them at all. I said those guys had better, more consistent college careers than Leonard Fournette, and when you look at their season statistics and accolades that is true.

You said they all had better careers, I posted the stats and they are all basically the same. So you changed the specifics which is pretty much the definition of moving the goalposts.

CM and EE did have 2 great seasons compared to 1 monster season for Fournette and Henry Fournettes season was better on a per game basis given Henry had 95 more carries and 3 more games.

Of the 3 he played in the fewest games by at least 3 but still had basically the same career rushing stats look again.

Things happen.... If you think for ONE SECOND that Thurman was better than Barry... You need your head examined.......... What Barry Sanders did in college was just unreal.... Thomas was real good but no where NEAR Barry's level.

Thurman Thomas was better than Barry

If Thurman would've stayed and had 3 other AA he'd put up same iffenseive numbers as the OL came back also

You can not apply 2000's standards back. Stanford now is a prestigious program, From 1979-1982 that was not the case

I referenced consistency in my post about there easily being fifty better backs. Consistency implies prolonged excellence while Fournette was a one hit wonder. FYI, I looked at their season by season statistics before I made the post. Your reading comprehension skills need work. Derrick Henry was also a bit of a one hit wonder, but his 2015 season was better than Fournette's 2015. He was able to play more games because he didn't have a penchant for disappearing in big moments (the opposite actually).
