He was on a much better team those three years than Fournette was and played against way worse defenses than Fournette.

So did Ahman Green winning 2 natl titles and being Nebraska's 2nd ALL-TIME leading rusher as well as not being suspended for committing torts. Phillips acting like he did his entire football career proves he wasn't sold out for his team and therefore should be penalized as such, something that should be accounted for in assessing individual players.

Pretty much any Nebraska fan will tell you Phillips >>> Green
Posted on 6/22/17 at 12:26 pm to I am GLORIOUS
But Green was selected all-American, first team all-Big Eight(freshman season-95) and is 2nd all-time Husker rushing whereas Phillips wasnt

I don't think Phillips, LF, or Henry (since he has been brought up) deserve to be on this list.

Scam Newton's on the list?!
Leaving Cam Newton off a list of "Top 50 CFB Players of the Past 50 Years" is one way to instantly discredit your list.

No problem..... now if you want to talk just RBS that's a different story....

No he didn't. Tebow started many more games, its almost impossible for that to be correct. It also gives context to the total number of losses.
What are you talking about?
He started 4 more games in the 3 seasons mentioned. Deshaun was 35-2 and Tebow was 35-6.
It's not impossible for that to be correct. FSU was a nobody when Tebow was playing. They're dominant now. Tebow had to win one game to win the National Championship. Deshaun had to win two. Clemson scheduled SEC teams OOC every year under Deshaun.
If I remember correctly, Clemson has ended the last two seasons with statistically the nation's toughest schedule. What you're saying simply isn't true.

I've been to Lincoln - it's no bigger than the smallest CFB towns in America. It's a stadium and a few streets.
Doesn't Lincoln have a population of over 200k?

Why???? He only played one year.....

When you look at who Clemson played in the OOC, his bowl opponent and the addition of a playoff game which adds another elite opponent, he absolutely played as many or more elite teams than Tebow did and only had 2 losses to Tebow's 6
Did he?
Florida was going up against LSU and Alabama in Tebow's years. On top of that, he'd have to play the SEC Champion and BCS Championship. Those years were right in the heart of the SEC dominance (Florida, LSU, Alabama, Georgia, and Auburn).

Saying FSU was a nobody during Tebows years is just stupid....

Cam has to be on the list.

They weren't great. 7-8 win teams.

Absolutely.

Then explain why isn't Manziel on the list. He submitted two transcendent seasons in college football with absurd passer ratings, won the Heisman like Scam and didnt have longevity either.

More longevity than Cam. 2 seasons > 1 season. Had he won more games against his ranked opponents, he probably would be on the list.
ETA: Manziel and Texas A&M went 5-6 against Top 25 opponents. Two of those top 25 wins were against Louisiana Tech and Duke...

Because Cam Newton is a better CFB player than Johnny Manziel
I submit to that fact Johnny Manziel's two games against LSU and his game against Florida.
I admit my bias but there is no chance IMO that Johnny Football is taking 2010 Auburn and winning a national title. 2012 TAMU put more talent around him than 2010 Auburn did for Cam and his team still dropped two games.
