This guy is either trolling or is just a plain idiot, Peej

Bottom line is, Nebraska is ahead of Colorado in every single way when it comes to football, and it's not even close. Period.

And as far as your consecutive sellouts argument, there are plenty of other states without pro teams, and none of them have come even remotely close.

Your level of idiocy is laughable

You should join him for a beer at the tractor pull

I warn you though if you question the alternate universe of the Children of the Corn there will be consequences.

By the way last year Nebraska's recruiting class was #23. Colorado with their amazing season and Pac 12 South title ( ) finished 36.

And as of now, this year's Nebraska class is currently ranked 15. Colorado's is 56

Good for you if you need to feel better about yourself.
I am all for people gaining confidence in life
If you must gain this confidence through Nebraska football I must warn you that their better days have long passed them by.
At least you can remember the long ago days of being able to travel to Boulder and winning a few games. I bet a trip to Boulder was a life changing experience for someone from Nebraska. First taste of culture.

I'm not from Nebraska. You assume too much. I liked them because they were a quality program across the board, with a long and rich tradition.

It is far from jealousy it is disgust
The state of Nebraska could have put their money into their university's academics but they did not and used football as a way to make their university look good.
I actually have pity for people in Nebraska because they deserve better.
I am glad to hear you are not from there as I thought most of their bandwagons fans have fallen off by now.
I do have to say take a trip to Nebraska and see what you are supporting. I am sure you live in a much nicer place than Nebraska.
Even Iowans look down at Nebraska. Des Moines seems like Paris next to Omaha.

I have visited there. Found it to be a beautiful state, and the fans are routinely voted as tops in the all of sports. Sorry your team sucks.

People in Nebraska don't have shite...it's landlocked and corn.

Flat as hell, boring as hell.

I've been to Lincoln - it's no bigger than the smallest CFB towns in America. It's a stadium and a few streets.

Nebraska folk need the football team...don't denigrate the passion...

...they drive from all over the state to form a real city on one Saturday in the Fall.

This was what I was told at the heart of every CU fan you will find a Cornhusker, Sooner or Jayhawk.
On the outside you will not because CU and the state of Colorado have grown up out of the Big 8.
They are like the kid who grew up in the farm town but visited his relatives in New York in the summer.
Sooner or later one of the cultures was going to become more dominant over the other.
With this I can say CU cares about football but in a totally different sort of way. So playing Nebraska is like playing who we used to be and this is why in the 80's we had to win. Today it is even more so.
When we play Nebraska in these upcoming years CU is going to pull out all the stops to give another Boulder Beatdown.

That Fournette is better than Phillips? It's no contest, both played 3 seasons Fournette had over 1000 more yards, out gained him each year, so yea I am serious. I stated a couple of time I agree Fournette is not a top 50 overall player

Nebraska has had some good seasons since the 2001 Miami National Championship game. Were they as good as they were in the 70-90s? Of course not. That's a tall feat.

They are/were a fairly consistent 8-10 win team. Much more so than Colorado. They won the Big 12 North a few times and the Big 10 division once. I think what really hurt them was the failed Bill Callahan experiment. He tried to do a complete 180 with the program (particularly on the offensive side of the ball) and it just was too much. I applaud Callahan and Nebraska for getting together and trying, it just didn't work out.

Bo Pelini was never going to take Nebraska to that elite level, but he always had them good.

Frank Solich years:
2002: 7-7
2003: 10-3 (Bo Pelini coached against Michigan St in Bowl)

Bill Callahan
2004: 5-6
2005: 8-4 (Beat Michigan in bowl)
2006: 9-5 (Won Big 12 North and lost to Auburn in bowl)
2007: 5-7

Bo Pelini
2008: 9-4 (Beat Clemson in bowl)
2009: 10-4 (Won Big 12 North and beat Arizona in bowl)
2010: 10-4 (Won Big 12 North and lost to Washington in bowl)
***Big Ten first year***
2011: 9-4 (lost to South Carolina in bowl)
2012: 10-4 (Won Big Ten "Legends" division and lost to Georgia in bowl)
2013: 9-4 (Beat Georgia in bowl)
2014: 8-4 (lost to USC in bowl)

Mike Riley
2015: 6-7 (beat UCLA in bowl)
2016: 9-4 (lost to Tennessee in bowl)

By the way, that 2012 Colorado team may have been the worst power 5 team I've ever seen fielded. On how Earth they beat Washington State (who was also terrible), I'll never know. They were just getting destroyed week after week.

We're not talking about character or lack thereof. We're talking about who was the better college back. Phillips was the starter (when active) for a team that appeared in 3 straight national championship games. He was a key factor in the Orange Bowl win over Miami, and absolutely shredded Florida. He's one of the top two backs in Nebraska history (better than Rozier, imo). So while Fournette may have compiled better stats, Phillips actually accomplished more.
