No, no. I'm saying had it NOT been for that situation, he would've gone first round.

ETA: The "fateful punch" I was referring to was the Boise St. situation in case that wasn't clear.

I really like dwyer. I really want to see his 40 time though.

Not exactly sure, but (at least in college) did have the breakaway speed to take it the distance if he got to the secondary.

I think if he posts a good 40 time there is no question he is the 2nd best rb

Dwyer is definitely fast for his size (220-230ish). I'd say he'll likely run 4.45-4.5 range.

Quite honestly, I see him as a better NFL back than Spiller.

He is more of an every down back. The thing about spiller is he is so elusive.

I wouldn't be that surprised to see him go before Spiller. I think Dwyer will be even better than Choice is.

Depends on what kind of O they end up going to.

I think Spiller would be great in the Eagles/ Westbrook style.

I think Dwyer would also be beast in a standard power run type of O.

Depending on the team. I think Spiller will be like felix Jones.

MAJOR character issues
I wouldn't say major, he got mad, so he punched a dude. "Major" would be if he shot someone, beat up a teammate/coach, or sold drugs, then lied about it. He got caught in the heat of the moment...

1. Dwyer
2. Dixon
3. Spiller
4. Matthews
5. Toby Gerhart

This draft class might not have alot of stars, but there are alot of backs that can be very productive in the league.

I see Dwyer being kind of like Michael Turner...a little bit faster than the burner though

Technically, he punched the Boise State player and then tried beating up a teamate or two. Luckily Scott Frost retained him.

But he has done everything right since then to show he's trying to do the right thing and it was just a MASSIVE MISTAKE.

This is a bad RB class, IMO. Im really not in love with any of the RBs. Some nice players but nothing special.

But this could be a really good draft for defensive guys.

It's ridiculous how much people get hung up on 40 times. You don't have to be a 4.3 guy to be a successfull back. Vision and elusiveness are more important IMHO FWIW.

agreed. however, if your rb runs a 4.8 40 thst sucks. he will be caught by a LB and gain almost no yards. See the end of older rb's careers.
