Rodgers at #3 is actual laugh out loud funny

There has never been a better time to be a QB though. Don't get me wrong he's a first ballot HOFer no questions asked, but you can't look at these things in a vacuum like that.

1) Manning (7x First Team All-Pro, 5x MVP, Titles with multiple teams/coaches)

2) Unitas (5x First Team All-Pro, 3x MVP, revolutionized the position)

3) Brady (7 Super Bowl appearances is hard to ignore, 2x First Team All-Pro)

Sure, so you compare him to his peers. Just so happens. 3 of his peers are top 5 level alltime greats. Brady/Manning/Brees.

Thing is, he doesn't just compare favorably to those 3. He very clearly plays the position of QB better than all the of those guys.

So, Charles Haley was a better linebacker than Lawrence Taylor? Championships are team awards. The Patriots have had great defenses the entire Brady era. The 49ers defense wasn't half bad either during the Montana era. Compare that to the Saints during the Brees era. How can you downgrade Quarterbacks because their defense was less than stellar. They don't play defense!

Not really. He plays the position better than anyone ever has. He can make throws Brady and manning only dream of.

The only difference is he doesn't have the yes, accolades, longevity and overall resume of guys like brady, Manning or Montana.

I have no problem saying right now that Rodgers is not a top 3 all time quarterback, but if there was an all time re-draft, he'd for sure be one of the top 3 qbs taken.

It's really cool to see Marino getting so much love in this thread (childhood sports idol) but I can't say he's one of the top 3 qbs of all time.

1. Tom Brady
2. Joe Montana
3. Peyton Manning

Otto Graham.

lots of championships. all the qualities of leadership. fabulous on the field.

Graham was a much better athlete than Marino. Played on a pro basketball team that won the league championship, as well as 7 pro football championships.
My favorite Graham thing is that he led the college all stars vs the NFL champ Green Bay Packers. Packers were heavy favorites. Graham at QB. college kids beat the Pack. Graham had already won 3 or 4 championships in another pro football league. Graham and the entire Cleveland Browns team came into the NFL.
They won the championship.
Graham has the all time best yards gained per catch in the NFL.
