Weird that the league waited 5 years after Katrina to 'give' us the Super Bowl.

One fluke Super Bowl win and they're the best fanchise in NFL history.

One of the most prolific offenses in NFL history is a "fluke?"

I'll still take a fluke Super Bowl win over a non-existent one any day

They didn't care when they let the Patriots win right after 9/11.

Then why didn't they wait another five or six years? Clearly it was still obvious

Why hasn't the NFL felt sorry for ATL and given them a SB Title after what General Sherman did to it?

They're waiting so it won't be too obvious

The league didn't give us a championship. If anything, they wanted Farve in the Superbowl that year.

To change the subject, Best TE in NFL history

why exactly? the guy said he was retiring, its the falcons that are begging him to come back so I don't have an issue with him having some stipulations. The falcons could easily say have fun in retirement and be done with it

It will be interesting to see if Gronk can stay healthy. Dude is a beast but had back surgery in college now a broken forearm/infection.

I don't care for the Falcons but I have to agree with you. No matter what anyone says you guys made a legit run at the title last year.

I love how Falcon fans think Saints fans are all over anything to do with them. Seriously, go check Falcon forums. The things they say about the Saints are hilarious. Many Falcon fans hate the Saints more than they like the Falcons. Can't say the same for the Saints. This is a Louisiana based site, where most on here are Saints fans. We are rivals, stop being such pussies. You guys got cocky as frick during last season. Up until that season, you guys were so jealous of the Saints. Stop trying to flatter yourselves. I can find examples of dumb arse Falcon fans as well if needed. Don't single out a few people on a Louisiana based board, and then judge the rest by it.

Now, to the actual topic. The Falcons with Tony (who I actually like) are a 10 win team minimum next season. If they lose Tony, it'll hurt them more than Falcon fans care to admit. Would like to see the guy play more though, great player.

Tony being back insures Matt Ryan being a top 3-5 MVP candidate next year.

Sort of an old Favre move

But not that surprising I guess. Old players hate training camp

Yep.

Saints/Falcons flame wars >>>>>> Lebron/Kobe flame wars.

I should note that I definitely enjoyed how Falcons fans flooded this board with their tears after they lost to the niners.

Falcon tears.... Nom Nom.
