re: Tom Brady puzzled why Scottie Scheffler would prioritize family over golf career

“Scottie said he’d rather be a better father and husband than a good golfer. And my question is: why are those mutually exclusive?” Brady asked. “Sure, they’re different blocks on the pyramid, but they’re part of the same pyramid. They’re connected!
...
I don't see the problem? It's also not like anyone knows what actually happened with Giselle, for all we know she was being an absolute raging bitch. I don't think I've read anywhere how Brady is a bad dad, only how he has made it a point to have all of his kids together when they do things blah blah.
That being said, not sure why he even bothered to talk about Scheffler, not his place.

Please show your proof that he was not adequately around his kids. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Brady just completely missed Scottie’s point or he is defensive….
Because his diatribe made no sense. Scottie didn’t say you can’t be a great father AND a great golfer
He just made it clear family comes first if it ever gets to that point. So either Tom is having a dumb moment and couldn’t grasp that, or that statement made him defensive because of his own transgressions

Yes, I think it was Moyahan (sp) that noted Tom always made sure to include them on vacations and such, being a great dad, yadda yadda. I'm not saying Brady is God's gift to his wives or SOs, but it's kind of asinine people are outright saying he's a bad dad.

He isn't necessarily a bad dad he just doesn't prioritize his kids over his career. That is the discussion point. Scheffler said if it comes to prioritizing one over the other, he picks kids w/out question. Brady doesn't.

But Scottie does question, he didn't go full Rick Moranis, he is still practicing and still competing. Also, from what I'm reading, Scotties first kid is 14 months old as well, so it isn't like we have a track record of him skipping a round of golf to go to his kid's soccer game or anything either.

I'll type this slower. Scottie said "if" it comes to the point he "has to choose" it will be his kids. He did not say he was at that point or already past that point. Right now he feels that they have not reached a mutually exclusive point.
