USC win has the potential to be huge for ND as well. Some efficiency rankings have then in the top ten!

There is no fricking way we should be two spots behind Stanford. What a crock of shite

Benign ranking. Stanford will either win out and win the Pac-12 and have a well-deserved higher ranking than LSU, or they won't, and LSU will be ranked higher.

People are forgetting that USC or UCLA is probably going to win the South, not Utah.

Utah will choke.

USC/Stanford in the Pac 12 championship game would be intense.

Two FCS opponents. That is to a team's SOS what ovarian cancer was to Gilda Radner.

(In case anyone is offended, I don't mean to imply that ovarian cancer is as bad as UNC's schedule.)

You and I are huge Trojan fans this month. If the trees beat the Irish and then the Trojans win the Pac-12....

at this point, the advanced metrics would support both those things happening.

ND has a 41% chance to beat Stanford according to FPI (which has issues, but its been decent predictor this year)

Yep, agreed.

I don't think Utah would beat Stanford. So I'd rather have USC in that game.

I'm not sure how upset anyone actually is, it is more pointing out obvious flaws and logic that doesn't make sense.

They blew tcu up pretty badly.

One game doesnt make a season, OSU barley beat Texas with bad late calls, beat KSU by 2 and WVU by 7. They beat TCU who has given up 45 and 52 in wins.

OSU is not a good team.

Notre Dame lost by 2 and had 432 yards to Clemsons 290

Bama lost by 6 with 5 Turnovers having outgained Ole Miss by 80 yards....150 WITHOUT THE FREAK PLAY.

LSU lost by 14, and was outgained by 250 yards.

THE COMMITTE SEEMS TO BE WATCHING THE GAMES AND USING GAME CONTROL.

Hopefully everyone in this thread agrees Bama shouldn't be #2

explain how watching the games for nuances in the final outcome is stupid again?

Eye test is stupid. Excusing a Stanford loss because they looked sluggish because the game was at 9am pacific time is stupid. Penalizing Michigan State for a game they "should have lost" against Michigan is stupid. Saying Alabama only lost because they turned the ball over 5 times is stupid.

You win or you lose. Again, college football is the only sport on the entire planet where results are somehow corrupted in some way.

Jeff Long just said Oklahoma State has had one test against TCU, and Baylor has had one test against Kansas State.

You know, the same Kansas State team that is 0-5 in the Big XII.

This man is a buffoon.

ETA: He says Clemson is a clear #1 right now.
